Prediction: Nebraska trending for 4-star DL as a commitment nears

Nebraska is building toward an exciting finish to the 2026 recruiting class.
Matt Rhule and the Cornhuskers’ coaches have been on the road and actively recruiting through the Transfer Portal and the high school ranks.
Nebraska is now positioned for another big pick-up.
The Huskers are trending in the right direction with 4-star 2026 defensive lineman
Dylan Berymon, who logged an official visit to Lincoln at the top of the month.
Nebraska was recruiting Berymon as hard as any school in the country after extending an offer to the Monroe (La.)
Ouachita Parish DL during his senior season. The former Texas verbal pledge officially visited campus earlier this month as the Huskers took a massive step forward in this recruitment.
“Man, it was crazy. It was everything,” Berymon told Rivals upon returning back home to Louisiana.
“I feel like after finally getting down there, seeing how everything was … they’re the leader right now until the other visits,” he continued. “The environment around the school. The School, riding through the town and seeing Nebraska on everything, you know. Flying into Omaha, it was crazy.”
Berymon has since logged an official visit to Kentucky, which evened the playing field for a good chunk of time.
After the high of the trip to Lexington wore off, Nebraska continued to swing away.
Rhule made an in-home visit to see Berymon and his family on Thursday. New defensive line coach
Corey Brown was also in The Boot last week. Sources informed on this recruitment view Nebraska as the current leader in the clubhouse before the 4-star DL reveals his decision and inks on National Signing Day next month.
The Huskers added a pair of interior defensive linemen in the portal and then missed on a junior college target. There is a sense that Nebraska does not want to miss again with Berymon, the Rivals Industry Ranking No. 26 DL in the 2026 class.
I’ve updated my RPM forecast to reflect where the Huskers stand in this race moving forward.
Berymon provided strong reviews of Nebraska after his official visit.
“I fit in pretty well, especially with the new defensive front they’re gonna be running,” Berymon said. “I feel like I’ll fit in really well.”
“They made a good impression. They kept it real with me,” he continued. “I feel like they’re gonna turn Nebraska up another notch. From the previous years they spent at other schools, they’re gonna turn this program around … They’ve been recruiting me hard and what excited me was finally getting down there and seeing them. The facilities were crazy.”
Berymon is tabbed as the No. 211 overall prospect in the country, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 8 player in Louisiana for this cycle.
