This technology (simulator, not data drive though) has been around for years, dating back to circa 2010. One of the Omaha youth baseball facilities had this years ago; a more ghetto type version though, but the same concept...

Looks like you lease those machines for 15-20k/month on a 3 year commitment.
I'm assuming that it couldn't match spin rate, break, etc.. from a specific pitcher though like this one was mentioning. That's crazy for it to be able to do that, but not surprising given all of the analytics that are out there now.
You're correct. I had edited the response to add ("simulator, not data drive though").
Nebraska athletics has a top-of-the-line analytical lab, but baseball is extremely limited to access it. Maddening.
You can see our ghetto ass weights area, in a small room, inside the AG Center (not ghetto when AGC was built 15 years ago). Yes, we share it with women's softball.
Compare the first to Kansas State, Wichita State & Ioa. lulz at Nebraska, oh, and I'll spare everyone facilities in the SEC, B12, etc.

I both love and hate the info you post....I love that you give us the peak but hate how fucking cheap we are for a very successful program (especially given the lack of resources).
And the final kick in the nuts is the top 10 fan support does not get the requisite response from the AD.

$1M more in expenses for baseball in 2024-2025. 20% of the increase is Haymarket usage, 20% is coaches pay & approximately 12% to 15% is the 10 consecutive days spent in California. I still don't know how that is budgeted since the budget is put together well in advance of the baseball schedule. Maybe it goes against the following year, lol nothing would surprise me.
