He will be All B1G defensive team without a doubt
Its amazing what happens when you have defined roles on a team and the guys buy in.
Every opposing coach brings him up. Incredible stat line for the year, but he does so much that doesn't show up on the stat sheet.
Fred said that he leads the team in defensive rebounds per game at 6'0" (probably more like 5'10").

Buyuktuncel is a prime example of the buy in. Last year he forced way too many bad shots and just tried to produce too much on offense in general. Now he is focused on playing great defense and rebounding and taking good shots when he's open. That's on coaching.
I'm not talking shit to anyone that doubted Sam. I never imagined where he'd be at this point.
My favorite part about Sam is he is buying into himself now. Past years he would penetrate and often get stuck doing nothing. This year he's creating.

100%! Last year we didn't have enough shooting for guys to play supporting roles...we would have lineups on the floor with Rollie, Berke, and Meah...and so a guy like Sam would feel the pressure to put up 3's because no one else was going to make shots. This year he doesn't need to be that guy. He can be a creator or spot up and shoot 3's totally in the flow of the offense because there are so many other scoring options.
