You have Janiran Bonner coming back you and have select packages for. Jeremiah Jones and Jackson Carpenter coming off a redshirt. Nalin Scott and Larry Miles coming in as true freshman

There is plenty of speed and size in the group.
Hopefully the Italian kid will be a gun slinger here and get players involved like he did at UNLV.

Every year a certain position group looks good on paper and is internet hyped just to underperform.

I’m with a buddy currently who has connections to the program as well as a private trainer for some players.

Pedo and rhule were in talks about the job even before the season but after the mini soda game all talks stopped

These numbers make me feel like the ADs need to find a way to make the coaches at least somewhat concerned about performing well enough to keep their jobs.

They have allowed the relationship to become so one-sided it’s completely unhealthy.

Well it starts by not giving an extension just because a competing job is open, but only once it’s been earned. That’s my real frustration with how that all went down. I don’t love giving extensions when it’s not been earned by performance, but by projections and trajectory.

No doubt. The other piece is the extensions that are given allegedly for recruiting.

Maybe in the portal era we can stop throwing away money for hypothetical future recruiting classes and spend it on transfers.

Rhule was coming off a 6-6 regular season at this point. How was this even remotely sellable to PSU fans?

Maybe if Kraft was projecting a 10-2 Nebraska season in 2025....IDK

Rhule talks with Kraft all the time so in a way you could say that Rhule is "in talks" with PSU all day every day. He may have had a conversation with an official PSU representative as recently as yesterday actually.

Yeah seems pretty weak. Still NU had him for five more seasons after this one. I am not up to date on how long contracts need to be and their effect on recruiting but going to seven seems long. Maybe it’s the best we can do at this point. Who knows.
