Heres all the AP voters for CBB and how they rank Nebraska. This will update tomorrow around noon obviously, so these ranking were before the 2 recent road wins.

alot of reporters base their shit on kenpom.. sure if our name was duke instead of neb we'd be in the top 5-7 but shit happens. kenpom is still biased with preseason.

He's an SEC guy. I think it's more about regional bias than Nebraska. His two big boy jobs have involved covering Tennessee and now LSU.

4 of the the 5 voters who ranked Nebraska the lowest cover the SEC.

I haven't looked, but I bet Vandy is probably receiving similar treatment from Big Ten voters.

UConn won in OT to a very pedestrian Providence team. NU should be ahead of all these one loss teams, but they can keep disrespecting the team - they seem to feed off it

Gonzaga played one game last week and beat a nobody at home. Nebraska won 2 quad 1 road games last week, and still hasnt lost (Gonzaga lost to michigan by 40)

Theres plenty of teams we should jump, but voters have to get over name biases. Some have, like Rothstein has us #7 and a few others have us #6.

I agree that our ceiling right now is probably 6, but we should be in the 6-8 range. Not 9 or 10!

Also using kenpom this early in the season is dumb, theres preseason bias baked in. If we started the year ranked 25th, we are likely top 5 in kenpom right now.

If Nebraska and Vandy don’t jump to 7 and 8, or 8 and 9 respectively i’ll be surprised. Both have done enough to jump Gonzaga and BYU resumes by now

I think it's hard to erase historical standing from one's memory banks. Nebraska has been a door mat for so long that most people are not believing what they are seeing. I don't blame any pundit from having reservations, regardless of W/L record, margin of victory, Q1 wins, etc... .

It's the Indiana football affect. Hopefully the end of year results are the same.
