I doubt he’s transferring somewhere to be moved inside. And if he’s truly being paid like a top OT Nebraska isn’t moving him insideBrix RT if he can develop/get ready to play and Babalade LG would be the ideal hypothetical lineup in my opinion.
Wasn’t he pretty badGottula is going to play somewhere
I don’t care about the price once he’s on campus. It’s about playing the best 5 at the best spots for them. Considering his future is likely at guard in the NFL, if we can develop a good RT out of our highly sought after/recruited young prospect that would be best for the program.I doubt he’s transferring somewhere to be moved inside. I thought he was fine. There were games where the entire OL struggled that he was involved inWasn’t he pretty bad
I hear ya, but I don't mind our younger tackles with Brix, Mpouma, possibly Marks. But they aren't ready for 2026 so roll with Tree, Pritchett, Gottula, and you have a swing guy like Knaak. I actually like our tackle spot a bit.I’d still like us to get a younger OT
We make paper from Trees.Pritchett and Babalade
On paper we are set with some good tackles
Not good enough for this program to make the jump it needs. He’s a quality backup.Gottula is going to play somewhere
Fair enough. I imagine there’s sill 1-2 more oline portal addsI don’t care about the price once he’s on campus. It’s about playing the best 5 at the best spots for them. It would be weird to avoid throwing yet another young tackle out there way too soon to get roasted for years and end up shitty in the end instead of developing them to play when they're readyI hear ya, but I don't mind our younger tackles with Brix, Mpouma, possibly Marks. Black has played RG his entire career, and a SCarolina RG Teasley had ended up going to A&M after Black committed. I think we still need a RG, but I also think we'll add some depth from the portalPritchett LT - LG - JEJ C - RG - Tree RT
Black will take one of the guard spots. Either one more transfer or they feel good about one of the young guys. Makings of a much better OL
I mean Tree was a backup on a pretty forgettable South Carolina OL until an injury if I'm understanding the timeline of his playing correctlyNot good enough for this program to make the jump it needs. He’s a quality backup.
Hopefully Geep is as good as advertised. It would be weird to avoid throwing yet another young tackle out there way too soon to get roasted for years and end up shitty in the end instead of developing them to play when they're ready
Highest paid?
It definitely hinges on if Brix can develop to the billing he was quoted at during the recruiting process. IF he can play at a high level it would be ideal for the entire line for him to start at RT.It would be weird to avoid throwing yet another young tackle out there way too soon to get roasted for years and end up shitty in the end instead of developing them to play when they're ready
I’m betting we are looking for a different starter at LG, but I agree with what you’ve got with the rest.LT Elijah Pritchett — 6’6 325
LG Tyler Kannak? — 6’6 325
C Justin Evans — 6’2 315
RG Brendan Black — 6’4 320
RT Tree Babalade — 6’5 330
Definitely BEEFIER
throw in Tuama, Brix and a couple more back up transfers it has potential
Quality addition. One of the MANY players we need to be competitive at a variety of positions as I noted in my post to you.Hurr durr were not a serious program If we don’t pay what the market demands…
Blacks coming in to play rg. He’s not learning a new spot.Black has played RG his entire career, and a SCarolina RG Teasley had ended up going to A&M after Black committed. I think we still need a RG, but I also think we'll add some depth from the portal
I think you are 'Barking up the wrong Tree'I mean Tree was a backup on a pretty forgettable South Carolina OL until an injury if I'm understanding the timeline of his playing correctly
