Playoff Games Thread

I hate playoff schedule. Too large of gaps between games for the top 4 seeds. It showed last night with tOSU and I think will show in the TT v. OU game.

Also I think we’re seeing the result of playing in the shitty BigXII. TT is legit, but playing in that worthless conference doesn’t prepare you to execute in close games and against teams that have similar or better talent. Now it’s only 6-0 and TT can still win this obviously. But the BigXII just doesn’t prepare a team to make a 3-4 game run against the best of the best.

Yea I think it’s a little overblown. ASU had a bye last year and played about as good as they could, and Boise had no shot either way. Then this year OSU just got manhandled didn’t think that had much to do with the bye.

The Pro-TTech commentators are laying it on thick.

Funny to hear them begrudgingly admit that the Oregon defense was the unit going into the locker room with the shutout, not the TTech unit they had been fellating for 30 minutes.

How about moving the season up a week as well and not have the National CCG drag into the middle of January.
I think eventually doing away with conference championship games will be a big piece of fixing the schedule, but there’s too much money and moving parts involved in that now for it to change any time soon.

I really don’t want conference championship games to go away, but I understand why they would do that if they do. I just don’t want conference championships decided by metric tie breakers. If we do away with conference championship games we’ll surely see two teams with the exact same record that didn’t play each other and one of them will be gifted a conference championship because they have a higher AP ranking, or better SOS. Subjective bullshit.

In fact, OSU would’ve likely won the B1G this year. Both Indiana and OSU were undefeated but OSU was ranked higher. And we all saw that Indiana won it on the field. They would’ve been robbed of their 1st B1G championship.
