Part of me wonders if they do this to drive up social media numbers with Husker fans then commit elsewhere and have a higher NIL value with the clearing house.

I don’t even think it’s that. I think they like Nebraska and love the fan engagement. But then someone comes and offers their unemployed uncle a salaried position somewhere and all of the sudden you get a Wiltfong prediction that they’re staying in state.

Also Nebraska just hasn't been good lately. If another school is willing to offer more money and play for a better team (Kewan Lacy to Ole Miss) I get why they flip.
