Texas A&M sweeps Pitt. First time Pitt has been swept this year. Aggie heads to the Finals.
Don’t have access but mentioned to a family member who is very familiar with Pavin from their time together at NU.
Her comment “I’m not going to listen to a thing that bitch says. She wouldn’t know team loyalty if it bit her in the ass.”
I have pretty much heard similar but in a nicer way from the people I know connected in the volleyball world.

Sarah Pavan is extremely honest about Huskers’ season ending
Former Nebraska volleyball star Sarah Pavan is brutally honest on her ‘Volley Talk‘ podcast. She and her husband, Adam Schulz, a former volleyball player and coach, gave their thoughts on the round of 16 and eight matches in the NCAA Tournament. They did not hold back.
Pavan, a four-time First-Team All-American, did not shy away from sharing her thoughts point-blank. She said she did not like the attitude of a couple of Huskers and started rooting for Texas A&M in the first set when Ifenna Cos-Okpalla went on the service run.
She and Schulz knew that setter Bergen Reilly was sick, but thought she did well. Reilly was not the reason the Huskers lost the match. Pavan said the reason they lost was that two of Nebraska’s best players – Harper Murray and Andi Jackson – did not step up when their team needed them.
Pavan and Schulz discussed and provided proof that Murray struggled to get kills against a double block. Murray is a great player. That is clear. Reilly gets her one-on-one against blocks often, and Murray terminates. “Anyone can have 24 kills against one block,” Pavan said.
But Murray needs to improve on her efficiency vs. a double block. Schulz collected stats for Murray’s match and said that she had 30 swings against a double block vs. Texas A&M. She hit .067 with 10 kills and eight attacking errors. She tipped or made a roll shot 14 times.
As for Jackson, Pavan said she had “more opportunities to stay in than she deserved.” Jackson did not play well vs. Texas A&M, and head coach Dani Busboom Kelly kept going back to Jackson.
Pavan and Schulz said that Nebraska didn’t have enough practice at making in-match adjustments and didn’t respond well to the Aggies. Opposite hitter Logan Lednicky hit line and sharp cross-court often. Pavan wasn’t impressed with her because she wasn’t creating angles, just hitting what the Huskers’ block gave her.
Nebraska volleyball has had three straight rosters that were capable of winning a national title but ended in heartbreak. Pavan pointed out that this is a pattern now. How will Busboom Kelly and co. change the outcome?
Ok. This is kind of a stupid statement. Isn’t that what great players do? Take advantage of opponents weaknesses?

Not saying Pavan is wrong but I was in Lincoln with her and we had a few classes together. I heard her say some of the most vile stuff towards some TAs. Immediately made me lose respect for her.
Yeah she has some valid points, but that’s as much credit as I will give her. My family member who was pretty involved at the time said not one of her teammates was sorry to see her leave. And remember Cook basically suspended her from practice for a brief period due to her divisiveness
Not that it makes it any better. The person I know with all the ties in the volleyball world was coached by Jamie Morrison wife in college and still talks to her. They acknowledged the unlucky events that happened to us last week and with Jamie’s connection to a lot of players on our team, while they’re happy to be in the ship, a little disappointed not to get us at full strength.
All in all regardless of Turd or a$m it seems the coaches and those close to the volleyball team seem like phenomenal people so I will for the only time in my life root for a$m
