Bor’s hot take…

We need to get TJ out of here because he risks us losing Trae who doesn’t want to have to wait around the extra year TJ would have. And the unknowns of a HS kid are more exciting than the unknowns of a freshman who’s played one game against a bad defense.
I know there’s some tongue in cheek here…

But this is SCORCHING

I do think paying DR as much as we have has hurt our ability to build a complete team. I don't hate the idea of keeping Chief Teef(assuming he balls out the rest of the year) if it means spreading the wealth around. I still voted DR though.

Raiola. Get better tackles. If you dont get better tackles call plays that your team can run.

People blaming Raiola for Minnesota are insane. Its one thing to say, "Hey Raiola, throw it away if nothing is there." But he can't do that literally every play. Is he just supposed to throw the ball away 15 plays in a row? There were drives when dudes were in his face instantly. And he would buy time to do some creative stuff like throwing left handed or pitching the ball to someone.

Raiola needs to learn when to hold them and when to fold them. But that is a very difficult thing to do if you are getting sacked got damn 9 times and have 24 pressures. I like Dana, but that game is on him.

Based of the sample size it’s Dylan. If TJ wins the next two we can have this discussion, until then anyone saying TJ needs their head checked
I don’t think he has to necessarily win. He could play well and the two teams we play could still win because they both can run the ball well, and our run defense is one of our biggest downfalls this year.

Top rated qbs flop more than they hit. If Lateef tears it up you should be happy.

I would love nothing more for us to pick Lateef over DR, because that would mean that Lateef plays really well over the next two games and we pick up two wins. But need to see it.

If we end up losing the next two, I’m guessing the Lateef talk dies down considerably.
Unless he plays well and we still lose which is possible. Our defense isn't exactly a guaranteed strength of this team.

The simulation dictates that he sucks the next few games and stays. Then Dylan never recovers from his injury and we are stuck in limbo with 2 lame QBs.

Simulation would have him beat PSU, lose to Cockeye, win the bowl game and look very promising and good. Nebraska selects him over Raiola. Raiola transfers somewhere else, wins Heisman and talks bad about Nebraska at Heisman ceremony constantly. Meanwhile TJ tears his ACL in the spring or has a sophomore slump.

On one hand, if you think Raiola is good enough to warrant massive NIL next season you probably also have to think you're only getting him for 1 more year before he tries to jump to the league. Is it better to spend the $ hoping for one good last season vs. investing in the younger guy you're likely to have for at least a couple more years?

On the other hand, I don't hate the idea of perpetually spending big $ every year to just go get the best experienced QB you can find. I guess the question is if DR is really that dude.

Yeah I don't have a problem if they lose one due to them wanting playing time and to be the solidified QB1 for a program. What im saying is money shouldn't be the main factor.

Oh, I don’t think it should be either, nor do I think it will be…I think it’s pretty critical we pay up & keep both Dylan, (possibly heading to the NFL after next season), and TJ the heir apparent.
