A 65-year-old hunter has been found alive after 20 days missing in California's Sierra National Forest.
Ron Dailey was reported missing on Oct. 13 after he failed to return from a deer hunting trip near Shaver Lake.
Dailey was found malnourished and battered, but safe, on Nov. 1 on the Swamp Lake trail, about 20 miles from his original hunting site.
In a recorded message, Dailey explained his truck got stuck and was wrecked by the rocky, high-altitude terrain. After several days, he abandoned it and tried to walk out. He had lost his phone and hadn't eaten in six days when he finally flagged down a pair of hunters.
"This is it, Ron, you either try to get out or you sit here and die," Dailey recalled telling himself. His wife, Glenda, called his rescue a "miracle."
