@Cornicator is right. TJ should have had a package of plays ready to roll no matter the situation. We waste practice time on Haarberg's shit that never works. Should have used all that time on TJ.
Package or two? Yes. But the idea that we played too vanilla or conservative with TJ is a little off. Stole this from another thread but when the starter goes down in a high risk environment, they ask the back up what they’re most comfortable with, rightfully so, then go from there. We couldn’t have scripted enough plays to get him through the rest of the game.

Rhule said this the other day… when playing a Freshman QB it makes more sense to call what they’re comfortable with than the “perfect play against this coverage”.

I think TJ was pretty comfortable in the USC game. That screen check where he dropped the snap was a check he made. That was a touchdown. I expect him to make similar decisions Saturday.

I think his 3 fumbles say otherwise about his comfortability in that game. I do think he will be able to process everything just fine.

I think my most confident attribute he displays is that he constantly looks high and it's really hard to be bothered by much of anything when you look that damn baked. Cool customer.

My prediction is also that he will put some DAMN good film out there to finish the season, but it will be made clear that when Dylan returns it's his job to lose, and then TJ portals...Our depth chart goes Raiola, Raiola until Trae gets here '27

TJ will also have a heisman season once he portals. Probably as the heir apparent to the great Jeff Sims at tASU

During the offseason you can have dueces on for a conspiracy theory pod, would actually be a fun listen

Yeah, let’s not have him send up the Bat Signal to his fellow travelers and have them inundate this place with the latest tweets about fluoride.

Think he just needs to tuck the football.

Was the dropped snap a comfortability deal or him getting ahead of himself on a big play check?

I think his (@Cornicator ) point was that they should have had 15 plays they felt good about TJ running and instead it appears they had about 4.

Yeah, and I felt that way because I really believed Nebraska was flirting with disaster trying to keep Raiola healthy. Very few QBs, at any level of football, could survive a full season after taking so many sacks. Hell, just look at the QB situations of Nebraska's "peers" who are also allowing similar sack numbers this season:

- Boston College - now on QB2
- Miss State - backup had to be inserted twice the last two games due to their QB getting banged up
- Michigan State - Chiles is no longer starting because he's been absolutely throttled the last month.
- South Carolina - Sellers has already missed one start and been forced to basically play at 75% the rest of the way.
- Auburn - Jackson Arnold, who already sucks anyway, was knocked out early vs. Kentucky. and The Tigers ended up losing 10-3 to a God Awful Kentucky team.

So just to reitterate my point:

I think the staff should've seen this coming from a mile away.
