If the OC thinks the QB sucks and calls plays accordingly, then it’s probably on the QB. They’ve seen Lateef in action probably about a 100x more than any of us. If the coaches thought Lateef was capable of running the offense at the same level as Raiola they wouldn’t have changed how they called the game once Lateef came in. I don’t know how this isn’t obvious to some of you.
You have to give him a chance when you need 96 yards to win.

We don't know what we want to be. We are a collection of talent without purpose or identity. I think the Holgerson hire was desperation because he was available, and Satt was clearly not capable. I do think he's helped Raiola as compared to the duck and chuck with Satt, but I sure hope Holgs offense isn't what we WANT to run.

We get weapons on the outside in the portal and we fail to use them. We have an AA level running back and we rarely run the ball twice in a row. We have done a better job of running off schedule this year, but we can't build PA off the ground game. We build our run game off the pass. It doesn't work. Our offense has talent, including our interior OL, but it is full of square pegs and round holes. Our offense has become what our D used to salivate to play against.

Commit....to .....RTDB
I think you’re spot on here. But the thing I struggle with…

Raiola is an elite talent. We obviously have the resources to go get the best WRs in the portal and I’d argue we did that. It isn’t working but why?

Your comment about square peg round hole is a great description. I can’t help but think it’s a symptom of using transfer players at half our positions

Agree with a lot of what is said. There are MAJOR game management issues from Rhule.

The Holgorsen hire and “system” he’s currently running make no sense. He’s been a 10/11 personnel air raid guy forever, and right now it’s hard to actually say what the offense is.

I think that we are actually better suited to run more of a pro style system that relies on running the ball. Emmett Johnson is a legit weapon. Mozee and Nelson are very young but show potential for the future. We have some good young receivers and TEs. OL is a question mark for next year. Would put the lions share of Nil towards that.

Defense has been better the last few weeks. We lose a lot at DB and LB, but do seem to have a ton of young guys ready to step up.

It’s important to remember that we are the youngest team in the conference.

We’re 6-3, a record that Scott Frost never reached. 3 winnable games and a bowl remain.

Could we piss down our leg and finish 6-6?? It’s possible. Could we circle the wagons and finish 9-3?? That’s possible as well.

We have leveled up from Frost. Let’s not forget that. Have we leveled up as fast or as much as we would like?? Fuck no.

Keep the faith. One day we’ll win a big one.

My take is that the offensive line prevents it from working. We can't protect the QB to anything more than what we have in the passing game. It's clear that opposing defenses know that we won't or can't stretch their defense. On top of that our offensive play calling looks like we want to do a little bit of everything and in the end we excel at nothing.

That’s fair. I think we had to scrap most of the playbook after Minnesota and had to move entirely to quick quick quick outs

Its Been A Long Time Waiting GIF

Just having fun, good post

What a huge fucking miss of a year. Lot of wasted dollars down the drain with an easy schedule just so we can make some no name bowl game. How does Rhule have any cache to now go ask for more money for NIL?

I think the Minnesota game was more about not being ready to play that night. That loss still annoys me when Minnesota is not very good this year.
That was the only bad loss of the year. Lost to Michigan by 3, USC by 4 (with back up QB).

The Minnesota game surprised me in that I thought the team would bring great effort for EJ’s return to his hometown.

The next step for NU is getting NIL up to top levels of support.

Ya that shit was wide open. Damn

Unfortunately they've had a lot of would've, could've, should,ve kind of plays this year. I realize it was in the heat of the moment after a big loss but probably not the best look from Rhule to point out the one play your back-up QB messed up on and say oh yeah that would have been a touchdown.

Blaming the players - here we go. We thought we hired Baylor Rhule, instead we got Panthers Rhule

What a great atmosphere last night. Felt bad that the kids couldn't pull out the win but they had their chances. Needed someone to make a offensive play in the 3rd quarter to spark.

Had a blast. Really hope we get the yearly blackout game. Easy for the fans to do and brought a really great buzz.

Onto UCLA. Curious to see the offense evolve with TJ.

Already buying the cope. Rhule sucks bro. 0 and what, 20? against ranked teams in the P4. How many more data points do we need ? Maybe Cockeye will be ranked so we can add one more to the list .
Lol you don’t get to mock anybody after wearing your happy ending badge for the past six weeks. You have no credibility, you’re just emotional.
That’s actually a bold take as well.
Offense was stinking it up H2 when he got hurt
We had one three and out and then had just gotten the ball back and got a first down when the fumble happened. Your hatred of Dylan has made you incapable of fairly assessing the offense.

I don’t hate Dylan. Don’t be silly.
I think he’ll make a great qb at a group of 6 school where there is less pressure. He’s just out of his element in a power conference
