Idk man that taunting call that gave us 3 points was kinda horseshit.

I thought it was soft.
USC player's hand went up - the only TV shot they showed was distant, but based on where the ref was relative to the player, I think he flipped off the bench, which will do it every time.

The player didn't argue at all, looked like he knew it.

I’m not sure why it’s hard to see the game turned on the fumble. Worst case (non-turnover) scenario we get three points and are up by 2 scores for a fucking change and are able to put pressure on the opposing offense for a change.

It’s shit like this that make this team always be involved in close games.

Could you please explain, do you believe we should fire Matt Rhule?

Or do you want to have a struggle session where we affirm your anxieties about the direction of Nebraska football?

Unsure what’s the point by uncritically repeating his ranked opponents record with no context or analysis.
Don’t want to speak for him. But most good coaches can fall ass backwards on a win every now and then. He hasn’t done it since temple and beating American conference foes.
It perfectly highlights rhules inabilities to successfully manage and coach teams in big games

No, I don’t think they should fire Rhule. One with his extension and 71 million dollar buyout it’s virtually impossible. Two I think Rhule has the program moving in a forward direction. However I do think it’s fair to question his coaching, game management in big games. He’s in the B1G now a lot of his games are going to be vs ranked opponents. You can’t just keep losing those games in the same fashion and be okay with it. I bring it up because for some reason 4-5 people on here have an aneurysm anytime someone is critical of Rhule.

I’m not as pissed about tonight as most of the people here, but Dana just has not been a good OC here.

People respond to his reputation not the actual production.
He’s hamstrung by a piss poor oline and a qb that’s afraid to throw the ball more than 7 yards downfield.

Dana has been garbage but the whole offense outside of EJ sucks

I don’t think he’s running the offense he would like too it seems like a shell of his offense. Nebraska doesn’t have the personnel and honestly his style just seems to clash with what Rhule would like to do.

I am curious what things will look like next week if TJ has to start as I am assuming we will see a decent amount of designed QB runs to pair with the current offense

Or we’ll just force feed EJ 35 times which might work out too

They should stop calling the “fumble” play

Thoughts on WRs? Those guys make some incredible catches at times, but felt like tonight their inability to get separation downfield allowed USC to just sit on all the short stuff. I liked seeing us at least attempt to push it downfield tonight but our dudes were blanketed every time.

Are people really pissed tonight??? They thought I was over reacting to the Michigan loss but this loss is now a huge disappointment??

If anything this is the must understandable loss out of the 3.

1) USC: ranked team, started 2nd string QB majority of 2nd half

2) Minnesota: Short week and had to deal with Rhule / Penn State rumors

3) Michigan: Loss at home to a top 25 team with a freshman QB: this is the loss I was most pissed about by far and I was mocked for.

Yes. This was FINALLY a chance to take a step forward. Prove that we can win big games. Prove that we can get shit done late in the year.

Sure, there are circumstances that make this loss seem not so bad, but it’s also just another gut punch loss on a national stage. And one where it looked for a large portion of the game like we were gonna win.

He would be a killer GM if someone else could handle game day
