I think Holgs knows what he has in Lateef and called the game accordingly. TJ was shitting his pants out there.

Lateef did fine for the situation he was put in. He wasn't calling the plays. And it wasn't helpful that the coaches were shitting their pants Rhule on down.

That’s not at all fair, given the Raiola injury.

Seems pretty fair given they were up 14-6 in the third when Raiola went down. If your back up QB is so bad that you just tack it up as a loss at that point that’s also on the coaching staff.

I just patently disagree that greater than 9/10 of the variance could be explained by lack luster coaching in all phases.

Were there some blunders? Sure. Riley certainly had one throwing 3 times in the redzone after gashing us on the ground in the first half.

I think this missed “big opportunity” (opportunity for what exactly? A chance to get our ass kicked in the playoffs?) is significantly more explained by Raiola’s injury + fumble. No need to lose our minds about the Rhule regime over this game.
