Hire this man...

Got it. So Matt Rhule has no say in evaluating talent. Good to know. lol
What are you talking about? I never said that. Of course he does.

If you wanted to make a statement about Rhule's talent evaluation then why were you asking questions about who is responsible for portal evaluations and bringing in talent? You asked a question and I answered it.

But why does the government keep going after Backpage even though the case has resulted in like 4 hung juries? Answer that Tony Toughnuts

Matt Rhule was here. The guy who supposedly got his start in coaching d-line looked at our severely undersized front and said: “Let’s add Moore and George, and we’ll be set.”
That’s implying he didn’t go after anyone else, which I don’t think is true. Rhule has been candid that he got outbid for guys. And other times you swing and miss.

Furthermore, on his podcast he said his hierarchy of players to pay was QB, OT, DE, CB, and WR. DT was 6th I think. The way this roster is built reflects his thinking. They dumped money into the OL, WR, and DE. You can argue it’s a bad strategy, and maybe he’ll want to reevaluate how he prioritizes position groups going forward, but there clearly was a vision.

Played OL for 14 years of my life but it’s been almost 20 years since I last strapped them up. Just tried some step and punch drills and pass set drills using a knuckle up punch and it felt so unnatural and less powerful. Also would make it impossible to get my fingers under someone’s shoulder pads. Is this a real thing? I’ve never even heard of it. @slattimer is trolling right?

Understanding you vehemently oppose it, what’s the perceived benefit of the technique?

Like I assume he didn’t invent it and some people teach it for some reason?
Several schools of thought on this...I would say elbows down is the most important facet of blocking to control defenders...which I know Donnie emphasizes....but

In terms of hand position, there's the tip of the spear stuff, double unders, hands in W, what I'd consider traditional - thumbs up, lock breast plate, elbows down, and then this...knuckles up...which I don't know how you can keep your elbows down. There's more out there, but not as common, shoulder blocking, flippers, etc.
