im completely OUT on Dylan

We also thought Adrian was a Heisman contender going into his sophomore year based on those stats. There were people on RSS saying they'd take him over Trevor Lawrence.

Unfortunately he got worse his sophomore year.

When you don't exclude the nonconference Martinez doesn't change much. Raiola does considerably.

Raiola
Freshman year
274/413 66.3% 2,816 yds 13/11
Sophomore
118/160 73.75% 1,331 yds 12/2

Martinez
Freshman year
224/348 64.3% 2,616 yds 17/8
Sophomore year first 5 games. Enter the S Alabama zone coverage
76/128 59.4% 1,101 yds 7/5
The fact we are comparing Dylan to Martinez is laughable. Only thing in common is both nice kids.

Martinez continually shit the bed in crunch time.

guys. i may have overreacted watching us play offense quarters 2&3.

its been brought to my attention that

A) It was windy
B) Sometimes teams play zone (i was yelling throw the ball at the game)
C) the offensive line is to blame for all of the sacks
I like it when people re-state an argument and say a bunch of things nobody is saying.

True! We shouldn’t just complain when we’re losing games, we should complain when we’re winning them as well.

The level of whining on this board pales in comparison to what I’ve seen elsewhere.

There is really nothing wrong with saying ‘We won, but we’ve got a lot to work on’.

It was a win. Can’t diminish that at all. It was a whole lot less than perfect. Should be able to talk about that without getting the ‘Sandy Vagina’ tag.

Now I checked on a drink run in the 3rd quarter, and there are some dudes that need a valium pre kickoff, but that’s another story.

You morans know that just because we had to complain about everything during 3 win seasons doesn't mean we have to complain now, right? We are 4-1, life is good.
Relax moron. We've been 4-1 before and it's a message board. Life is good but doesn't mean we all see it the same.

I agree, as I post in the thread “I’M COMPLETELY OUT ON DYLAN”

Your post got me thinking, so I went back and read some of the early posts in this thread that were obviously posted in game, and they are really hilarious to read today. The OP was next level hammered and went a hill too far right out of the gate. Commitment, right there.

I almost never post during a game, just yell stupid shit at the TV and settle down when it’s over. That way the only witnesses are the Mrs and my dogs, and they give zero shitz about football, other than it scares the hell out of them when I lose my mind.

That’s the way to go. I went through all the emotions during the game.

I was watching with my in-laws and didn’t talk much during the second and third quarter. Was debating how invested I should be in college football going forward. Is it worth all this pain? Then, I took the kids out to get eggs from the chickens because I wanted to get away.

Came back in to see Hunter sprinting down the sideline and I was immediately back into it and in a great mood. This sport is so gay.

Being older than most on the board, I had the advantage of growing up without the internet and social media, so my thoughts on the game are entirely my own.

That said, I still go through all the possible emotions as the game has it’s ups and downs. Like you, in the 3rd quarter I was on another plane. I was seriously looking at ways to beat Matt Rhule senseless, without being captured on camera…and then something good happens.

Unfortunately for all of us, this team is still in that middle ground where we’re going to have more of this than not.

‘WE’RE BACK!!!’ will be sandwiched between ‘WE STILL SUCK!!!’ more times than not, but it is what it is.

I’ll take it, when we’re figuring out a way to win. Pretty, or ugly.

From a outsider? Can Dylan carry this team or does he need Bulldog talent around him?
Carry to what? I think this team has the ability to win out, but it's easy to have that game or two where everyone's focus or energy is off and you lose. I wish there was a couple more RBs with a little different size and speed than EJ to help there. A lot is often asked of the O line in passing plays. I think DR year 3 will be a QB that is quicker getting ball out, and hopefully bigger RB room. Can they beat USC and Penn State? I think USC more so, but both are possible. Will N lose a game they shouldn't? Happens to the best of teams every year, but let's hope not.
