AP's All-Time 1st Team All-America

I brought up on TnD board, but Tebow ain't close to a Cam Newton or Joe Burrow. I get it's the 3 years of Tebow, but if we're building the best team he isn't even 3rd on my list.
I don't know if I'd take Cam or Joe. Wouldn't be upset either way. Probably lean Joe with Moss and Fitz at WR. If I don't have all time great WR's then Cam.

Go back and look at that All-Time defense and then imagine all those players in their prime. Then imagine a Tim Tebow led offense vs. that All-Time Great defense.

Offense doesn't score.

Would you pick him as your number 1 QB if you could pick anyone? I doubt that, but if so my 1st Team All American Defense is gonna love it.
You can go any number of directions with this. If we have to build a team with a system, then no, he doesn't fit to best scheme with the other players picked. I'd also take Tommie Frazier over him (and probably anyone else) personally, but that offense isn't running the option, and Tommie would be out of sorts trying to run it.

If you look at is as drafting a team you want to put on the field together, it's a different animal than looking at which player at each position had the best career in their location & situation. I went with the latter personally.

Cam 2800 yards 30tds 7ints with 1450 yards rushing & 20 tds.

Tebow’s heisman year 3200 32TDs 900 yards rushing 23tds

Burrow 5600 yards 60tds 6ints & 300 rushing yards 5 tds

Tebow stacked up better than I thought. Real difference is the rosters & Cam carried Auburn to a natty while Florida & LSU were loaded.

Yeah, I can't imagine what Cam and a stacked roster and stacked D to give the ball back would look like. 50+ every game? I think it would be nuts. Kirby Smart/Saban defense held Tebow to 13 points his last year in 2009 (1 TD and 20/35 247 yards 1 interception). That was a good FU team and undefeated till that game.

I don't hate Tebow as the QB like some are. I get it. His resume is tough. But guys that haven't been mentioned that I'd probably take over him would be #1 Vince Young and #2 Michael Vick.

Young is the 2nd team QB
Rimmington is the 2nd team center

Desering Huskers on there. But I think Dave Rimington got hosed!

I admit I know nothing about Chuck Bednarik, except I do know the award for the nation's top defensive player is named after him, while the award for the top center is called the Rimington Award!

Obviously, the other Husker who I think must have been a near miss and possible snub is Archie Wilson.
Rimington is a huge miss. He was the first Husker I looked for.

Good call the answer should be cam. buddy dragged GENE CHIZIK and a sorry ass roster to a national title
