Sign Up Now!In college when recruits would come in we would have strucutred play so the coaches could see how they played with the guys on the team. Well, when we were warming up with a group of these kids I threw a lob to myself and dunked it. The kid behind me basically said, hold my beer. He was 1"-2" shorter than me and went into the lane off two feet and hammered it down two handed. That was impressive, I could never do that!Damn bro - dunking at 5’7” is quite a feat.
I would have torn him apart. He was the easiest coach to read what he was going to do. After a turnover or most bad plays, it was always an option. I would sit there before plays and call it out and would be right 85% of the time. That's even worse than Solich shitting his pants and calling nothing but options. Or calling a fade pass from the 9 yard line with Lord throwing against the best secondary in the nation.
Yes but did you know which way the option was going? 😂I would have torn him apart. He was the easiest coach to read what he was going to do. After a turnover or most bad plays, it was always an option. I would sit there before plays and call it out and would be right 85% of the time.
Yeah, If Crouch raised his arm presnap it was short side of the field.Yes but did you know which way the option was going? 😂
This story was in our paper down here in Florida this morning via the Associated Press. Love the quote from Scott they included "Im excited to get back in a place where my family and I get treated well" JUST A YUGE SOFT PIECE OF SHIT. I may consider going to a UCF game this year to heckle him until I get kicked out. That'll show him.
it reminds me of Steve Taylor telling a story on how frost thought none of the players supported him even the a bunch of em showed to the presser & Steve invited him to a get together to show that was not the case & frost declined. Gotta protect that giant ego however possibleThis story was in our paper down here in Florida this morning via the Associated Press. Just because you know what an offense will do doesn’t mean you can stop it.I would have torn him apart. He was the easiest coach to read what he was going to do. Probably not in the 90's, but by the end of Frank's run, it would be doable.Just because you know what an offense will do doesn’t mean you can stop it.
I really don't mean to defend Solich. My dad and I occasionally argue about Solich's firing to this day. My dad thinks we shouldn't have I think we should've. However, if Wilson Thomas doesn't run the wrong route. Nathan Vasher isn't there to intercept that pass and we very well may have beat Texas that night.Or calling a fade pass from the 9 yard line with Lord throwing against the best secondary in the nation.
Kalen DeBoer?Who would be our coach if we had fired Frost after 2021?
Matt Campbell? I think i remember reading that Turd really seemed to like him.Who would be our coach if we had fired Frost after 2021?
Callahan's first spring game, I remember that. First play came out in a Power I formation and shifted into a 4 wide set. The crowd erupted at it, which, like you said Dailey threw a 40 yard bomb that was overthrown and incomplete. Most of the Frank nostalgia is just hindsight being 20/20 unfortunately. At the time fans were more than ready to move on to a more modern offense. I remember a huge cheer going up for the first play of the 2004 spring game when Joe Dailey threw a pass which ended up being incomplete to Herian 🤣.

I could only imagine at the time Callahan thinking "look at these hillbillies that are impressed with a shift" LOL.Callahan's first spring game, I remember that.
