So happy for him! And he is such a great kid too...this past Christmas, at our extended family get-together, he spent nearly the entire time in the basement entertaining my 5-year old and 3-year old.

Hope he crushes it at Ohio and is able to transfer home!

His mom is my cousin. She was a pretty good athlete herself (played college volleyball) and his dad played football at South Dakota and has been his track coach his entire life. Kid is a stud athlete that played pretty well for Central this past year.

He was on Nebraska's radar this past summer, but they told him they wanted to see how his senior year went. Shortly after that the roster limitation.talk started and he stopped hearing from Knighton. He signed to play DE for Ohio.

Cade Moran threw the seventh-farthest shot put in school history, hitting a mark of 19.90m (65-3 ½) for the runner-up finish. Maxwell Otterdahl placed fourth with a season-best 19.18m (62-11 ¼), and Kael Miedema was 19th (17.05m, 55-11 ¼).

No, college and high school use different shot put weights. In high school, the shot weighs 12 lbs for boys and 8.8 lbs for girls. In college, the weight increases to 16 lbs for men, while women's shot remains the same at 8.8 lbs.
