This! Why do they think this is such a big deal that it ranks up there with game coverage and recruiting coverage as a priority?oh boy, the vaunted On3 NIL valuations, which is straight up garbage that won't soon matter.
I think this is the key. Would be different if they were getting actual numbers of everyone's contracts.Especially when it is basically a number pulled out of the air with no basis in reality.
Perhaps, but Shannon's stated rationale is that Rivals has brand value in the HS recruiting space from 25 years of activity, and this brand value will help him expand into coverage of the HS sports market which he thinks has potential. On3 become the vehicle to cover college sports, the portal, etc. You won't have to go to two sites anyway; it will all be available from your dashboard. It will just have different branding.I think it will eventually all be under one site. Why would I want to go to one site for high school recruiting and then go to another for college, NIL, and the portal. It's all recruiting to me. Portal is only going to be open once a year now, so you won't have much year around coverage on that either.
Dean is used to kissing ass so he would probably do ok.I can’t wait for Saudi PE to gobble up On3 and watch Dean have to shill for OPEC advertisements.
I'm sure Terry is smarter than me, but I don't see the money in it for most teams. Two sites, two staffs your going to basically double up on everything. Maybe I'm not understanding the whole concept but Dean for instance has done basically the same thing for over twenty years with a couple guys and some part-timers.Perhaps, but Shannon's stated rationale is that Rivals has brand value in the HS recruiting space from 25 years of activity, and this brand value will help him expand into coverage of the HS sports market which he thinks has potential. I'm waiting for the entire network rebrand to "focus everything in one easy to understand branding and coverage product"I'm sure Terry is smarter than me, but I don't see the money in it for most teams. I could be misremembering but when 247 bought Scout they tried to run it as two sites but eventually everything went to 247.I'm waiting for the entire network rebrand to "focus everything in one easy to understand branding and coverage product"
then they can mass layoff people and consilidate and then he will sell
ill be right in 3-5 years
Portal is remaining twice a year for football, just shorter windows.I think it will eventually all be under one site. I'm talking about the national networks being one site. The team sites are separate entities, owned by their publishers. They have contracts with the networks. There are probably financial penalties if the networks cut off sites before their contracts terminateI'm sure Terry is smarter than me, but I don't see the money in it for most teams.
