Films every man should see

I've had my nephews (now in junior high) over for a few movie watching parties for this very purpose. (Son is 5, so someday he'll catch up)

We've watched Top Gun, Gladiator, Hoosiers, The Right Stuff and Fried Green Tomatoes.

(just kidding about the last one. There is one more, but I can't think of what it was)

I would suggest that the last one is a good watch for dudes so you can understand how fucked up and manipulating women are/ an be.

The Godfather 1 and 2
Goodfellas
Apocalypse Now
Shawshank Redepmtion
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I like a lot of movies but I'd start with those basics.

I can see this playing out differently based on age.

Looking at this list, you're likely close to my age. Younger people value and enjoy different things in movies and none of these movies have the things that attract them. They'll likely understand and/or enjoy the nuances of movies like this later in life, but for now most of them would just be 'boring'.

I'll add to the list
Green Street Hooligans
Lucky Number Sleven
Grandma's Boy
