I like a lot of movies but I'd start with those basics.

I can see this playing out differently based on age.

Looking at this list, you're likely close to my age. Younger people value and enjoy different things in movies and none of these movies have the things that attract them. They'll likely understand and/or enjoy the nuances of movies like this later in life, but for now most of them would just be 'boring'.

Lucy Liu in Lucky Number Sleven. Reminded me of Payback with Mel Gibson. Which is a remake of Point Blank with Lee Marvin. Both are good.
