April Recruiting Thread

I think it'd be much more we don't trust what we have in a second tackle. Knaak got a nice verbal pat on the head the other day and Corc and Teddy have just not shown to be overly reliable consistently.
I think Knaak just came back from injury too. So you have Teddy limited, Luto limited, Corcoran and Gottula out, and Knaak coming back from injury this spring.

Not saying it's not going to happen but it probably won't be as cut and dried as some people might think.

DB also said in the video that he was shocked that Donovan ended up at Nebraska with his dad and family being as big of Cockeye fans that they are.
My sister is close with their mom - I'm not sure any of that is accurate.

I've also heard that Darion is a HUGE momma's boy...he will be staying close to home.

These guys are following Tim's looks more recent -

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Joe Cotton is Michigan-bound

There is one follower of his on X that really stands out as different from all the others and appears to be recent - Chip Lindsay, the new OC at Michigan. Michigan was really looking hard for OL at the last portal window.

Cockeye On 3 staff thinks they are a contender

My view is that the guy hired a real agency that handles NFL players, and is directing all inquiries to them. I don't think Steve Ferentz knowing him will make much difference in that context. Michigan would be a great opportunity for him. He'd be a likely instant starter.

Benning was going on about how big of Cockeye fans especially the dad they were in the video. Maybe that has changed now that Donovan is playing for NU. Wouldn't be the first time DB is wrong about something 🤣. Hopefully that's a good sign for us.

Jensen will visit Cockeye State on May 30, Missouri on June 6, Florida State on June 13 and he will round out his visits with a trip to Texas A&M on June 20. The playmaker told me why each school made the cut.

“To be honest it's just the places that feel most like home,” Jensen said.

“I feel like I fit in at all of the places and all of them have shown me how they will use me in their offense. I had Nebraska set for June 13th but I canceled it. I might set a different date for Nebraska but haven’t decided yet.”

Jensen’s recruitment has been a very intriguing one to watch from the start. Things just never really seemed to mesh with the in-state Huskers. While he’s keeping the door open to visit them down the road, Jensen seems destined to leave the state to play college football. It feels like a similar situation to his fellow tight end teammate from last cycle Chase Loftin who ended up at Florida State.

Cockeye State and Missouri remain the top two teams I’m watching for Jensen. His quarterback and best friend Jett Thomalla has offers from each school and is also heavily considering them. Another teammate, Amarion Jackson, is committed to Cockeye State already. But we’ve seen Florida State and Texas A&M expand its recruiting footprints to the Midwest. Each are tough schools to beat on the recruiting trail.
