It's gonna be worse next season. Unless we miraculously get several really good players in the portal, we are gonna be bad.
I’m halfway hoping that the refs make a couple more really bad calls at home just to see our home crowd absolutely lose their shit on the refs just to get them (the fans) off their seats?
I’ve come to the point that I’ve seen enough loser ball in my life that if Dannen said we are canceling basketball tomorrow, I would 100% be on board and in favor of it.
I know we don't have many offensive options to go to, but to say our coaching has made almost no good adjustments is an understatement.
Look the staff obviously knows more about basketball than I ever will but a few things:
1. Our core defensive principal is doubling when they drive baseline and then we have guys come help/swat when they catch the ball at the top of the post. Cockeye is making an absolute killing catching it getting doubled/harassed calmly skip passing to the corner to a catch and shoot type guy who buries threes. Seems like we should just stick to their shooters and make them beat us 1-1 and deny the catch and shoot guys from catching and shooting
2. They are hedging the hell out of our ball screen action when Brice is the ball handler. Need to initiate with someone else or have another playmaker make the play when we get 4 on 3 (we don’t have this on the roster)
Gary closing out hand down on the best shooter while simultaneously over closing on his off hand so he gets to dribble into a three to his right the possession after over helping and giving up a 3 to the same guy

Our roster is really lacking. But opposing coaching staffs have completely figured us out on both ends. Our high energy scrambling defense that was looking good the first half of the season, has been neutered. Our offense was mostly the wheel offense with a big as the pivot at the top of the key. Now it is even more sluggish - just no good actions creating looks. We only have two players who can create their own looks, though, and as I said, opposing coaching staffs have figured out how to beat us with these limitations.

Yup…… we get a little momentum and we manage to find a way to lose the momentum…..
+1300 for the comeback win. I’ll piss away a few bucks on that
