Outside of Christo, our weekend rotation and bullpen regulars have been very consistent. Christo is pretty good when he’s on but last couple of weeks he’s been off. Hopefully he gets that figured out, he was supposed to be our Friday night starter coming into the season wasn’t he?
I believe they were just hoping Christo would be in the weekend rotation. I feel like he’ll keep progressing the more starts he gets under his belt. Our Friday night and Saturday guys are straight nails which allows us to save the bullpen for Sunday (even though it didn’t pay off this past weekend lol)

We're 3-3, with 2 tough road losses. Shit happens. Florida, with a loaded roster of MLB draft guys, is 4-5 with a loss to Jacksonville and a couple blowouts to Florida State. Mud State is 4-4 or 5-4 with a couple bad losses too. Heck, South Alabama who we won a series over has midweek wins over ranked Mud State & (tonight) Alabama. Both ranked teams.

Yes, we all want to win but a little perspective is requested. This isn't the 2023 season where we had 14 total losses against Q3 & Q4 teams (25-14-1). That's what kept us out of Regionals. We're currently 10-1 (1 loss Q3) in that category with 10 games remaining. 0 bad losses.

On to Rutgers.

The following top 25 teams lost to unranked opponents on Tuesday April 9:

#2 Clemson to SC Upstate 9-5
#7 Duke to William & Mary 4-2
#8 Kentucky to Samford 9-7
#12 UC Irvine to USC 12-5
#13 North Carolina to South Carolina 2-1
#18 Oregon to Sacramento State 15-8
#23 Nebraska to Kansas 13-11
#25 Alabama to South Alabama 5-4

No doubt about it, we need to stop our 2 game weekday skid but both losses are to quality RPI teams. 1 Q1 & 1 Q2 (borderline Q1 as of now). And that's very, very important as 2023 screwed us by losing to craopy Q3 & Q4 teams. (Multiple Q4).

I'm looking at doing a comprehensive breakdown of our remaining games to see if I can figure out what's needed to host a Regional. For baseball it's difficult at the halfway point to figure it out but I'm doing my best to speculate. Hoping to have an update tomorrow around this same time.

Plus, as I tried to tell folks here, this KU team is pretty scrappy at home. They hit the ball well, so if they get a good pitching performance, they can win games that most think they shouldn't.

Theyve taken 2-3 from TCU so far this year at home as well.

Albeit TCU is having a down year but still KU isnt a team to look over
