I’m in St Louis visiting family. The news stations here talking about Mizzou Ohio State game are going crazy.

This morning Booger Daniel and Gary Pinkel were on. They are with the team in Texas. They both talked about their pep talks to the team. God help me if they win, which is a real possibility.

I take the opposite stance here. While I have no love for Ohio St, I typically root for other B1G teams in bowl and non-con games. The stronger the B1G looks, the better Nebraska looks. Recruits also want to play in the best conference, so any time we can win head-to-head with the SEC, that only helps the perception in recruits’ eyes that this is a conference you want to play in if you want to be the best.

On top of all that, Mizzou is in our backyard and I don’t want to compete with them for 500 mile radius kids if they’re beating the Ohio States of the world. Much easier to out recruit them when they’re losing.

Yeah I thought the same thing..but a few years ago I thought that about Utah v Ohio St in the Rose Bowl and Ohio St pulled that one out while playing WR and TE on defense.

This is where I'm at. Ever since the Covid year where the conference stuck their noses up at us for wanting to play football. Yea I know Cockeye and Ohio St were on our side, but I don't care. This has been my exact feeling for years. Especially in recent times when the perception was the SEC was head and shoulders above everyone else and the only real option for top players. That perception has subsided somewhat, but the more the Big Ten wins and lessens the SEC’s monopoly, the better for the Big Ten’s recruiting efforts across the board.

About the one SEC team I'd want OSU to beat.

TBH, here's where I stand on the B1G. I want "most" to win except the following: Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Cockeye.

You don't want your conference going O'fer, but good God the air of virtual signaling, superiority of the B1G makes me vomit. Meanwhile in Ann Arbor, Lansing, Cockeye City and State College there are pedophiles, cheaters, racists, coaches that sexually abuse gymnasts, and a doctor in AA that sticks his fingers up player butt's for decades.

Back in Lincoln we want to play football during Covid, and an indirect spokesman for the conference wants to kick us out. And the initiation into the conference that was biased against PSU and Nebraska has been sort of appalling as well. SMH.

Fuck this conference.

Ohio State losing is good for Nebraska.

It puts Ryan Day one step closer to being fired. Or it puts more pressure on him and he'll one day crack and make some bad decisions, like telling his winning QB that his job isn't safe. Or he'll throw an assistant under the bus and fire someone who doesn't deserve it. Couple more players into the portal. Chaos.


The more instability at OSU the better for us in the future.
