No love from Nebraska for Zac Taylor on what he's been able to do so far with the Bengals. Is it because he was a Callahan guy? The whole Burrow thing? Or they don't want to overshadow Frost with a more (at the moment hopefully) successful Ex QB Head Coach? Thoughts?

I hope he coaches here one day but I have a feeling he’s going to be in the NFL a long time, he’s a damn good coach
I had people arguing with me hard at the beginning of the season about his coaching ability. I wish I would have screencapped those responses. The amount of people saying he was going to be canned and couldn’t coach his way out of a paper sack was unreal.

If people watched bengal games last season they could see his ability to call a game. He just didn’t have the horses yet.

Very happy to see his success.

I'm sure the TC doesn't want to upset the apple cart. However, if SF still continues to suck, how long before people start courting Zac to bring him home similar to Michigan fans w/Harbaugh.

Not gonna happen. Harbaugh had a bad relationship with the SF brass. That’s why he left/was forced out. Doesn’t appear to be the case with Taylor.

Thats how you do it. Thats how you show humility and thank the fans. Zach just appears to be a natural leader. Love reading the comments on that. Fans gushing about him doing that. Builds loyalty.

Great CEO's and Coaches I have been around would take all of the blame for failures and give all of the credit for success to their employees & Asst Coaches/Players. Some people just seem to be born with the leadership gift, others need to learn it.

I doubt he ever leaves the NFL. If he implodes as a HC, he can go the coordinator route and Norv Turner his way through jobs as Coordinator or HC.

It's going to be a much harder sell for NFL guys to go down to CFB anymore. It will take a lot of money to put up with the transfer portal, NIL, and all the other off-the-field distractions you have to manage now. A football guy can be a football guy in the NFL and not focus as much time on theatrics.

It helps having the next great qb. It’s nothing against Taylor because I think he is a quality coach, but if you don’t have the qb you don’t look as smart, and you’re getting fired sooner than later.
