Year 3 Roster Comparison

Thought it would be interesting to put Frost's year 3 roster side by side with this years roster. Guessing a little on the starters this fall since we don't have an official depth chart.

WR and OL look to be much better. Hopefully Raiola has a bigger second season jump than Adrian.

Defense looks better as well but Jojo and CTB were good players in 2020.

I actually love this kind of shit. Let's start with the low hanging fruit and look at the players who wouldn't see the field on this current roster:

Chris Hickman
Kade Warner
Boe Wilson
2020 version of Bryce Benhart
Deontre Thomas
Collin Miller
Caleb Tannor
Deontai Williams.

Here's where that 2020 group was better:

Jack Stoll
WanDale Robinson would honestly look great in this current offense
Ben Stille was a very underrated player at Nebraska
JoJo Doman would look great in this scheme
Dedrick Mills would be starting for the 2025 team.

Now, here's a massive difference between 2020 and 2025:

OL Depth
WR Depth
LB Depth
Secondary Depth
and yes, even the DL Depth

When you go back and look at participation reports from really about 2015 thru 2022, the number of scholarship players who actually played impactful double digit snaps for Nebraska was often times less than 40 players. There were even a handful of Big Ten games where Nebraska literally played defense with only a rotation of like 14 or 15 players.

A little tough like someone mentioned because the names on the 2020 we're only going to remember as the best version of their time here. Not what our perception was of them heading into the 2020 year.

Even with that though, the 2025 roster looks significantly better.

BuckNuts as long as your 2025 version is better than your 2020 version, our boards will be better thx
