Big Ten decision to ban fans is asinine. While you can't really reduce the risk all that much of people in the shitter other than masks, sitting outdoors spaced out is about as low risk as you can get

Not to mention they always quote it as for "player safety". Last time I checked I wasn't able to run around the field hugging the players during the game. At least the last time I tried, I was tasered off the field.

They think player safety is a magic phrase that will stop any further scrutiny. Setting any decision that the big ten made aside, their communication about why things are being done and producing underlying evidence or rationale for it has been an absolute train wreck. And shockingly, we're going to other entities create probably more risky substitutes for in person attendance.

This is not perplexing at all. The B1G won’t allow fans but the university, state , & city will & should.
