Who did you want in previous coaching searches?

Which hire do you think negates subsequent hires? That is, does Mike Sherman kill it to the point we don't need Coach Pete?
Butterfly Affect. If Sherman does well then Pederson probably isn't fired and replaced by Osborne. TO hated the Solich firing and the Callahan hire thus wanted Bill fired, and did fire him after being hired as AD.

And do you think it would have fucking mattered?

1998 (for you crust old fucks like @Elizabeth Reed )
2003
2007
2014
2017
I was 9 years old in 98. I recall just being pissed Tom was leaving.

2003- Peak fandom year, I wanted us to go Al Saunders (dad was a rams fan) or Pelini because all the locals loved his fire.

2007- I was all in on Bo but was ok with Jim Grobe as he was the only other name I remember hearing regularly and he was doing well at Wake.

2014- I wanted Petersen.

2017- I wanted Petersen or Mack Brown(I felt he got a tough shake at UT) I didn’t feel Frost was anywhere near ready. I got banned on RSS because I was so adamant he was going to fail and taters didn’t like that.

2003- I was 10 so who tf knows

2007- Gary Patterson

2014- Still Gary Patterson

2017- Frost

2003 - none of the NFL guys Pederson was obsessed with going to…so I guess Nutt by default

2007 - Pelini

2014 - wanted Frost fresh off his Broyles award - romanticized the idea of us being his only HC gig for his whole career

2017 - Frost, no brainer.

2022 - rode that Aranda train as hard as anyone in the country.

I ultimately liked the Frost hire when it happened - there’s really no other option at that point - but was pretty against it for most of that season - got shouted down pretty hard in a wide range of RSS threads that literally christened Frost the prodigal son and savior of Husker football after he was 5-0 or so.

When the Frost hire was going down I’m pretty sure I wanted Chip Kelly or Kiffin

Would it have mattered? No idea. I’m sure it would’ve been better.
