I think this needs more context though. He basically said that he doesn’t think the failures were all their fault. In the piece you’re talking about, he’s throwing a little shade at the play-caller last year.

you are definitely correct. But this portal activity is saying something else. I think the player evaluation is evolving - we are seeing additional WR interest now, too.

Always been a ridiculous notion. Lincoln is more metropolitan than probably 75% of college cities. Probably has the 2nd or 3rd best weather in the B1G and better than half the ACC....and people love football here.
Most people haven't traveled to West Lafayette, Manhattan, Lubbock, Stillwater, Columbia, Cockeye City, Lansing, Blacksburg, Ann Arbor etc. Therefore, they blindly parrot the theory that Lincoln is shitville, and that it's colder than Siberia.
