Looking at our 6, probably about to be 7 year streak of no bowl games.....

2017: Bad offense, bad defense, ok special teams
2018: Good offense, bad defense, bad special teams
2019: Bad offense, solid defense, bad special teams
2020: Bad offense, OK defense, OK special teams
2021: Good offense that choked when it mattered, good defense, bad special teams
2022: Inconsistent offense, bad defense, OK special teams

It’s been a very long time. The Joe Ganz year was probably the closest thing we’ve had since the turn of the millennium. Wild. Like legit, proper stunning.

2021 special teams were awful
Defense was solid

Special teams that year were some of the worst in the nation. Defense was pretty good and IIRC Offense was one of the more explosive ones in the B1G.

Special teams and situational football KILLED that team
I think we were 2nd to last in special teams that year

This was my first thought...

Top 10 defense 17 PPG allowed
Top 40 offense 30 PPG scored
Henry, Adi and Niles Paul

Should have been a team who won more. Probably the best team post 2001.

If you look at the games that 2010 team lost there’s simply no excusing it. That team should have gotten to the Big XII Championship game at the worst with 1 loss. They were up 17-0 on OU and then Taylor Martinez throws an int in the end zone that he should have thrown into the stands. Should have gone into halftime up 20-0 and it would have been in hand and you’ll have an argument to play Oregon or Auburn for a national title.

Hate to be #yearzero again but we've got a shot next year.

Alvano improves, return game has been good
Most of the offense is back and I assume the line won't get worse because they improved
QB can't get worse
Young WRs will improve and we probably bring in a transfer opposite of Malachi (hopefully)
Fidone hasn't put the tape out for the NFL so he's probably back
Defense mostly returns and the young guys are studs

That A&M Game was a 1000000000% screw job from the refs. I still couldn't believe that roughing the passer.

Texas, I think was on Bo and co for building that game up excessively after 2009.

You hit on the Big 12 championship game.

It really is a crazy thought. Because we certainly were a better team than Texas, and if Burkhead doesn't drop that pass then maybe that one turns out differently. A&M was just absolutely wild. OU like you said the team just shits down it's leg.

But can you imagine if we'd won all of those games and true freshman Taylor Martinez actually started a National Championship game for us? Auburn would have absolutely decapitated him by the end of the 1st quarter.
