Some things that we need to do as fans to will our Huskers back to prominence, because I cannot do this shit anymore.
- We all need to embrace 1 score finishes. We need to desire an early B1G game come down to the wire and we need to all expect we put it away in the last minute/last drive.
- We need to continue to desire 1 score finishes. We need a whole movement of fans around the program begging that it comes down to one score. Steer into the skid. Beg for them.
- Every single one of us needs to start doing something difficult/build toughness on a daily basis. 6/7 days per week for the next 1 year we all need to do something that makes us individually tougher. I will be ice bathing regularly from now through the 2025 season.
- Shake hands with someone every single day as a sign of respect for the sanctity of the handshake.
- When T.O. dies this offseason, we need to have a lot of outward displays of fondness and gratitude for all he did for the program, even if we all know his meddling and staying involved created some weird curse around us. Do NOT celebrate the ending of that curse - but remember the greatness and the curse will take care of itself.
- Just absolutely GAS UP our boys for the next 365 days. They have proven they cannot build confidence in themselves, so we have to carry it for these sacks o' potatoes
- The first big game I remember watching was the 1993 Orange Bowl. I was devastated. Soul crushing at the age of 5. I turned 6 and we finally cracked through the ceiling. Fast forward to 2024. I have a 5 year old daughter who loves Nebraska Football as much as I did at age 5. She gets dressed in her jersey every weekend, she asks when we play, who we play, and if we can watch it. And we do. And she is sad when we lose so often. She has heartbreak from Nebraska football at age 5. And I believe she will experience the glory and triumph that Nebraska football can offer at age 6, just like her old man did.
