2021 Minnesota Football Off-Season Preview: Nebraska Cornhuskers
No Neb news, but found it interesting they don't have a 247 site publisher! Andy they beat the fuck out of Neb nearly annually! Nice.
...and that's it. not a lot of interest in Neb. consensus is we shall suck again. hope they are wrong for once.
Nebraska Practice Reports
- This game will be really ugly
- If we are who we think we are, it better be.
- No need to keep tabs.
Kansas would play Nebraska closer than Nebraska will play us. This one will be over by halftime.
Sooners by 30. - I hope you are right but the OL seems like it might be a big problem for OU.
- Maybe so. Nebraska has a much bigger problem though. They’re not good. At all.
Bad coach. Bad QB. No playmakers. Defense is respectable but they’re not scaring anybody.
We are all interested in this game (nostalgia). But if we’re being honest, Nebraska is not a challenge. They’re not even a Top 5 team on OU’s schedule. ISU, Texas, TCU, OSU and WVU will all be better than Nebraska.
I’m glad OU is playing them and I hope they eventually get back on track (for their fans if nothing else), but they’re just so bad.

2021 Minnesota Football Off-Season Preview: Nebraska Cornhuskers
- I might be too optimistic but I see this as a big win. Nebraska has one play on offense and that is quarterback run. You stop that you stop Nebraska. Gopher's should be dominating on both offensive and defensive lines.
- Has Adrian Martinez won the Heisman yet? I quit following College Football a few years back and that was the last rumor I heard.
- I personally would put this game at the same level as the Illinois game, think we will be 10 point favorites by the time the game is played. 2019 was a complete mismatch and then down 33 guys last year go in there and win and they no longer have Robinson and bring back their same average at best QB and this game is played at home, this game should have an easy non-conf type of feel to it. The amount of rushing yards amassed by the home team will be whatever number they want. Haven't seen anything from Nebraska in the last couple years that would even concern me slightly. I think Bert works them over week 1 and they go spiraling down from there. Looking forward to Mafe abusing Benhart again.
- I lived Omaha Nebraska for 15 years and I can tell you Nebraska fans have delusions glasses on for coach Frost like Michigan has it for Mr. Khakis. Every summer they have hopes and dreams and thinking they can win the west. Just look at the transfer portal for Nebraska tells you something about Frost. Now the Nebraska loving fans will say but, but and the number one question I ask Nebraska fans is what is Frost best win for Nebraska? ( I will wait....) he doesn't have any, I can't even think of a Win he had when the opponent was .500 or more. Nebraska has no experience at O-line, they have no running back ( the USC kid hurt himself), they have no wide receivers with experience, they don't have a kicker, they have way to many linebackers (10-11 on roster). Frost doesn't have any NFL prospects from coaching up at Nebraska and he is a hypocrite ( the no sweatshirt comment with fleck then wears sweatshirt or the comments about blaming his snaps on Cockeye bench for bad snap center, but was once blame for doing the same on the bench sidelines ). Anyway the Gophers should always beat Nebraska because Nebraska is a bottom feeder team now and 10 years ago I was so excited when beat them at Lincoln when we were both ranked but that is the past now. I mean we beat this team last year with only 30 + players playing that were pure rookies and we won.
- Without steroids, criminals and cash payments, Nebraska is not a force. I have zero respect for their program, they were dirty for way too long. In another 30 years they will be in a conference with Montana, NDSU and Wyoming
- I hope Frost stays for another 20 years
