- Out coached by bama staff
- Coach Kirby has to evolve
- Hiring his buddy to be OC may be the biggest mistake Kirby has made oustide of promoting Coley to be OC.
- He put his own personal feelings ahead of the team.
- He needs to bring in an elite offensive mind who can move our offense into the 21st Century. Bobo isn’t it. He’s not going to recruit the playmakers we need to have long term success going forward
- I’m not the biggest Bobo fan but can’t blame him for last night.
- At least we aren’t FSU….
- 1-6 against Alabama is unacceptable
- When you recruit like Georgia does, you should at least be 3-4 vs Bama at minimum.
- No excuse for not having a dual threat QB!!
- No excuse for hiring your best buddy to replace Monken. That guy should have been paid whatever he asked for.
- As David Pollack recently said, we have a lot of good offensive players, but not great ones. That's the difference in games like this.
Ole Miss
- Lane better not bitch about fans after this.
- Lane better not bitch about shite for as long as we employ him after this. Feel like Freeze all over again.
- If lame bitches again about anything I need ANY media member to call his arse out on this shite. One of the most expensive fricking rosters in the country can’t beat fricking kentucky at home. First home loss to that shitty fricking school in over 40 years
- The ghost of Houston Nutt was with us today
- Yeah I’m done watching any games unless we completely dominate the next two weeks. If that happens then I’ll watch the Oklahoma game. This piss poor effort doesn’t deserve to be watched or supported
- Yeah I've checked out. I'll watch UGA if we win out until then
Utah
- new coach
- time for Whitt and Ludwig to move on, we need to see some excitement on the field, some type of energy. some type of will to win
- Still p**sed about Saturday. It’s not so much about the loss as it was about the lack of coaching and lack of energy the team had. whit is too predictable and complacent, he lacks the intensity and fire he once had.
- big 12 championship not going to happen
- Utah is not beating Cockeye State or KSU with this offense.
- Be careful what you wish for. How many teams fire their coach and then mire in mediocrity or worse for years? Even the blue bloods have experience that. Many fans would trade their last 20 years for our last 20 years. I have a coworker who is a Nebraska fan. They are at the point where a 6 or 7 win season and a bowl game is a huge success.
- It’s possible but I think good programs that permanently tank like nebraska are an outlier.
Oklahoma State
- Lowered Expectations
- It looks as though Gundy will be leaving the program how he found it.
- I’m assuming if this isn’t Gundy’s last year, next year will likely be it.
- This is by far the weakest that the Big 12 has ever been, so I wouldn't be surprised if this team managed to still win 8 games.
- The joke, or reality, is ou is gone and we still can’t win the conf
- To make matters worse, Gundy is going to ride Bowman out for the rest of this lost season which will result in Flores transferring instead of playing the next 7 games and being somewhat ready for next year.
Northwestern
- OT: Legalizing Sports Gambling Was a Huge Mistake
- We all agree that there are too many d*mn sports gambling ads, but also, the evidence is pretty clear that legalized gambling decreases savings, increases bankruptcies, and even increases domestic violence.
- Don’t gamble kids.
- If a student bookie out of Notre Dame was able to fix NU football and basketball games in the early ‘90’s, it will only get worse with the proliferation of legal gambling.
Ohio State
- ANY THOUGHTS ON NEBRASKA GAME TIME?
- This site usually has early information. Taking a shot someone might have an educated guess.
- I'm assuming Mich vs Msu is not going to be very hyped this year. I could see it being at noon.
- Still subject to change, but I’ve heard from a couple of sources that Nebraska is likely to be a Big Noon game.
- The Big Noon team is going to be at Urban Meyer's Pint House on the 24th. So year. Big Nooner.
- That’s a shame - I have tickets and was hoping for a 3:30 kick.
- It's Homecoming and against Nebby, so it will probably be a big noon game.
- All signs to it being Big Noon since the 2014 team is being honored and Urban will be there.
- Sometime between noon and 7pm on October 26th
- Big Noon Micmoff is already promoting being at Urbans Pinthouse. I'm gonna a guess it's a noon start. Be awesome if it were at night
- I have to ask: how could your autocrrect possibly end up with "Micmoff"?
- It's Homecoming and it will be noon.
Indiana
- We better enjoy the 5-0....
- It may be another 57 years until we go 5-0 again.
- From ESPN: It's been 57 years since they were last 5-0 and it was 57 years before that, 1910, that they were also 5-0.
- I am not saying we won't be good in the future, but 5-0 may not happen.
- Or it may happen again next year. This ain’t the old Indiana.
- It is likely to happen again with this coaching staff.
- Looking at next year's schedule, you may be right.
- Enjoy the moment as the future is not promised. Go to the games. Try a road game. Enjoy what is happening as it does not happen often for IU football. I hope it does, but I am just going to enjoy THIS moment.
- death, taxes, and 5-0 IU football every 57 years. lol
- I count 13 senior starters looking at the depth chart. Hopefully we can reload. Schedule will almost certainly be more difficult next year.
- I'm ready to enjoy 6-0. Your standards are out of date.
- Just bought three tickets for Nebraska!!
- It would be great if it were sold out early enough to have the Athletic Department consider selling more tickets and putting in some temporary bleachers near the end zone sidelines and end zones proper... I'd like to see that type of need for extra seating for Nebraska
- The Neb game should be really rocking. You all will enjoy it! These guys can really play.
- Let's focus on NW. No trap game, please.
- We'll be there and I think the atmosphere will be crazy.
- Yes, the team needs to focus on NU to avoid trap game. But, IU fans need to buy up every possible Nebraska ticket still available, pronto!!
- Yea, Nebraska’s road game support is as good as it gets -- them and Tennessee. It's impressive to have that many fans go to such a dreadful place like West Lafayette.
- The team will focus on NW. we need to sell out Nebraska.
- Remembering like 25 years ago, Nebraska came to South Bend and turned Notre Dame Stadium red
- Nebraska travels very well. Went to the last game the Huskers visited with a bud who is an EE grad from Wahoo, Nebraska. Great fans...
Purdue
- Nebraska at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD
- Well, can we pull the upset?
- Decided not to get Peacock this morning…so no
- Let’s see if Card can break the 100 yard barrier today
- Offense looks as offensive as normal
- Only reason we got a stop is because Nebraska decided to stop running it
- False start - nice foot shot, Huskers!
- And he missed it! Haha.....thank you, Nebby.
- We got lucky. Our defense is getting no pressure on their QB at all. He could write a novel out there.
- Hey, we missed a foul goal. I guess we felt it was only right with Nebraska missing theirs.
- Looks like they are on the way to an 0-0 overtime.
- Huskers don’t want to win but we are working hard to hand it to them.
- Again, their QB can survey the entire field twice with still no pressure
- They are racking up big yards. We have been holding them in our territory around the 25 to 30 though.
- Ruhle so intimidating with the five sizes too big shirt look.....
- Card passes it to himself
- Defense is improving every game, offense is one week away from being a high school offense. Card is not a good QB. Just run the ball.
- Sure would like to see this air raid offense that we hear so much about
- Is Ruhle going to complain about every call
- Purdue - offense (91 yards), penalties (74 yards).....yikes
- WOW, who would have thought a 0-0 tie at half.
- Walters halftime interview “we need a drive”. No kidding. Maybe fire Harrell at halftime.
- Thank you, Nebby again......missed FG!
- Also Nebraska is kind of stupid and is just unwilling to run the ball. I wonder if Raiola has some clause in his contract that he has to throw x amount every game lol
- Six pass interference’s in the first half. Yikes!
- Purdue leads - FG breaks the scoreless tie, fittingly I suppose.
- Can our defensive-specialist coach PLEASE teach how to properly play pass defense? Or is that asking too much of our HC..?
- Now that Huskers stopped shooting themselves in the foot might be a good time for an offense with a pulse.
- This team can win games with this defense, they won't win another with this offense.
- If Walters stays, Harrell has to go.
- Now if we can only get the rest of the defense to stop committing 217 pass interference penalties…
- Two possessions seems like a four TD-lead now. Boilers need some help now.
- Walters better make a quick fire to save face or his career at Purdue should end promptly.
- Well coached teams don’t make stupid penalties and they don’t crap the bed right out of the halftime locker room. There is no part of this team that is redeemable
- TD Nebraska. 2 wins might be optimistic for this year’s team.
- Welp - Purdue has to be among the leaders in interception-return TD's......wow.
- The only way Purdue could pull an upset would be for Nebraska to not show up!
- I suspect Nebraska's defense was sleepwalking a bit.
- Shocked at the undisciplined play by Purdue. Nearly 200 yards in penalties?????
- TV seemed to show almost more Nebraska fans than Purdue. Was that true?
- Id say 30% Nebraska fans.
Rutgers
- Whoa.... 95 Degrees and 36 mph Gusts for Saturday
- Forest fire weather.
- No, corn fire weather!
- The worse the wind is the better for Rutgers. Nebraska is throwing the ball more, and on deeper patterns, than Rutgers.
- Lows in the mid 50s, highs in the low to mid 90s and low dew points…that’s what is called freakin perfect weather in Nebraska in October
- Nebraska switched their home sideline this year for a competitive advantage for more shade.
- Weather for RU @ NE: Dry and Hot (but not humid) and Breezy
- Let’s hope Greg and Staff don’t forget the misting Cooler Fans this time
- That’s going to be brutal for the players, temps near 90 with the Plains sun beating down on that artificial turf field. Huge enclosed stadium. Hope they are very hydrated. Depth will be tested.
- Hope 2.0 remembers the Cooling fans this time. That Visitor’s sideline will be blazing in the sun.
- It’s interesting that this is the first year NU has been on the west sideline in about 50yrs.
- Tom Osborne moved NU to the east sideline back when all the games started at 1:00. His theory on it was that NU played more games where it could be cold than would be hot. Therefore NU was in the sun longer than the visitors.
- With temps around 90 and RU being on east sideline they will be in direct sun till halftime. Then they should be shaded for most of the second half.
- NU will be in the sun for part of the first quarter is my best guess.
- Also with the angle of the fall sun on the field looking south will be looking into the sun that could affect catching balls on punts or deep throws Just an FYI.
- Mid-90s in October in Nebraska. Damn.
- Currently in Sedona, AZ, and it is hotter than it has ever been here in early October- pushing 100 F, which is ridiculous.
- Let’s get that wind to a steady 25-30 to affect the passing game.
- I like our chances in a battle where the running game and special teams are the determining factors.
- THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-NEBRASKA PREDICTION THREAD
- Nebraska 24 RUTGERS 16
- We're 2 for 2 in what I call "coin flip" games, which are games decided by 1 score. Rutgers finds ways to win them, Nebraska finds ways to lose them. Somehow I think we continue that streak. RU 19 Nebraska 16
- RU 24-21
- Ru 27 Nebraska 24. Nebraska gives up 2 sacks and 1 int. Nebraska misses a field goal in the game but so do we. We miss a sack that leads directly to a long Neb TD.
- I’m my season prediction, I had @ Neb and @ USC as probable losses. I think some of the defensive struggles are going to play a role here, hope I’m wrong: Neb: 28 RU: 20
- 24-20 RU
- Best I’ve felt going into a Nebraska game, calling a W
- For the first time this season RU makes more mistakes than their opponent. NEB 24 RU 10
- Nebraska has a bad streak for losing 1 possession games. This might be more heart than head 😂, Rutgers- 24 Nebraska- 13 A first time for everything
- Neb 30- RU 27
- We have played Nebraska close the last few times we have played them. The last meeting in Shi Stadium was absolutely atrocious game day Coaching by Greg and Staff . We should have won easily. It all changes this Saturday. RU 27 Nebraska 17
- Special teams comes up big, and it’s needed badly as defense continues to underwhelm. Blocked punt return for TD leads Rutgers to a 21-20 win.
- Scarlet Knights 35 Cornhuskers 30 Rutgers leads by 14 at the half , then holds off Nebraska 's attempt for a TD in the last few seconds of game
- Rutgers 30 Nebraska 19
- Rutgers 24 Niños de Maíz 18
- Rutgers- 31 Nebraska- 24. Both Rutgers and Nebraska finally make a field goal.
- There is a little bit of a positive transitive. We moved the ball very well against VT, and then VT beat #8 Miami.(The reversal of the TD was so bogus). And we beat Washington which is a tremendously talented team. Yes they shot themselves in the foot but we won. Is Nebraska that much better than Miami, VT and Washington? I don't think so.
- Neb 28 RU 17
- Neb is much better coached than they have been in years. RU needs to play their best game to win but does not Neb 24 RU 17
- If there ever was a game where COACHING mattered, this is it. Unfortunately our guy gets out coached. This could get ugly and be a huge letdown for the fans.
- Nebraska 28 Rutgers 24 At the end Offense trying to play keep away fails and Rutgers D folds for a late Nebraska TD.
- Rutgers 17 Nebraska 25
- Saw this the other day and it really makes you wonder. I chew the corn really well when I eat it. So how come it is back to normal corn shape when it resurfaces in my poop? Might be the 8th wonder of the world.
- Wrong era.Tom Osbourne is not their coach any more..RU starts a new era of winning at their house.Knights take their FIFTH WIN back to NJ. By two TDs
- Nebraska 31 Rutgers 20-Not happy about it but I think we've won the last two games despite the defense, not because of the defense, and that isn't sustainable. I hope the D proves me wrong. Something isn't working right on that D and it needs to get figured out quickly.
- Nebraska 31-17.
- This team may not be the most talented , but it has found a way to win each week. I am sticking with them - Rutgers 26 Nebraska 22
- Hopefully RU brings lots of pop-up tents.
- Have faith in RU. Nebraska will fall as did the others. You and the rest of us will have a a 5-0 FB team to Support at the start of the next game 6-0 at the end of it
