Week 3 Depth Chart

Continuing to trot Jeff Sims out there while burying Anthony Grant on the depth chart completely negates all the bullshit Rhule has been spewing in press conferences. Don't piss on us & tell us that it's raining Matt.
Yet another HC that could potentially die on the shitty QB choice hill

Malachi Coleman and Jalen Lloyd making moves. We need a deep threat so bad.

At this point, if I saw us throw a deep ball to Malachi and give him a chance to go high point the football at 6’4 I’d probably tear up
He either would cut the route short or short arm it. Then complain about it.

Yes, but what happens when Heinrich and Chubba come in and are just as ineffective?

Chubba was a disaster when he played, and our former coaches literally laughed at the thought of playing Haarberg last year. So when it’s obvious they clearly aren’t capable, do you go back to Sims who would be even more of a mental disaster? It’s truly a QB crisis. But yes, Sims was Rhule and Satterfield’s guy, so it is really squarely on them so far. A lot of buttholes are gonna be puckered for who they get in the portal for 2024.

There is so much nuance that goes into QB changes which makes me laugh when people try to compare it to making a change at RB, which many have done.

Why can't we have nice things? The one that got away was Flores. And another one was Cam Ward IMO. Now, I am not saying either or both would have been the answer. But at least they are actually QBs playing as QBs. Maybe transfer QBs know we have a shitty OL that's why we couldn't land any of those who transferred to Wisconsin, Purdue and Illinois, etc.

Sims is an athlete who identifies as a QB. Nothing he does will result in benching him it seems. And we don't have viable backups even though Rhule keeps praising Haarberg, while Purdy is so injury-prone it's like he is fragile like glass.

And we all complained how Frost stuck with Adrian. How sad indeed.

Until they get someone else, we will live or die with Sims. Benching him at this point would create other problems. Comparing benching him to benching Grant is apples and oranges. Other alternatives to Grant.

Hopefully, Sims gets his head on straight. Otherwise, it’s a long season.

My real fear is that they will get stubborn and not get a portal QB for next year.

I mean. I thought he had a sprained ankle and likely won't play anyway this week?
