Yes. She has language in her contract basically giving her a free release if it's to NU. Nothing is guaranteed, but she's widely expected to get the first call when Cook is done.

I mean she’s been to 3 or 4 final 4s and a national title game at a school who was not known for volleyball

I’d like to try and avoid another Frost situation where an alumni comes backs to coach and sucks. Granted she has experience, not sure who else is out there to be worth pursuing.

That’s a pretty absurd stat. Dont think that will be in dannen or whoever is making the decision at that points head though

She has much more sustained success than frost ever did, whenever cook calls it quits they will have their choice of whoever, DBK just seems like the natural first choice

For years DBK seemed to be the front runner for HC and primarily due to her no Nebraska buyout clause. However cook just signed an extension to 28.

Rumor/speculation in the volleyball world now is DBK is still top but cook may be priming Jaylen to take over. With Tyler hilderbrandt being third

IDK. She's a very good coach. I don't know enough to rank her against some other contenders, but she wouldn't be getting the job just because she's an alum.

A lot of the sure thing coaches are also older guys nearer the end of their career.
