Sounds like he's no longer visiting this weekend, and we aren't even being considered. Bigtime disappointment if true.

Season 5 Nbc GIF by The Office

East Tennessee State offensive lineman Tre'mond Shorts is in the transfer portal and was one of LSU's first offers to guys in the trenches.

He's now set to visit LSU this weekend. Shorts has already been to North Carolina and Central Florida, but he's on a visit to Mississippi State today. More than one person I talked with thinks it's the Bulldogs vs. Tigers for the Georgia native. He's got one year left of eligibility, but they are still pressing for him after adding OT Miles Frazier. They are also hosting ULL OL O'Cyrus Torrence on Thursday, so a busy stretch coming up here for OL coach Brad Davis.

Just add this to the pile of "We can't get them all".

Overall I think Nebraska is doing pretty well in the transfer sweepstakes so far. A DL and experienced OL center would be a welcomed sight at this point.

I'm not as worries about the DL as I am the OL. I know we have landed two OL transfers already, but I still don't feel good about that group at all. I like the idea of sliding Nouili to center, but I have no idea who takes his place at guard then.

Someone mentioned Corcoran to center.

Then you have Benhart, the two transfers, plus Miller and Luto fighting it out for the jobs on the right side of the line.

Bruntz is saying Shorts moved his trip to LSU up he's there now till tomorrow. So, I guess it's still possible he could visit Nebraska this weekend.

Teddy LT, Turner LG, TBD C, Henry or the German RG, Okie Lite transfer at RT

Lots of talent, could move benhart to G and the German to C, still have high hopes for Henry

If we get Nesta Silvera in the portal for NT i vote move NutSmasher to guard. I mean he already has an OL number (72)

I heard from my cousins daughter that goes to East Tennessee St that this guy is terrible at football anyway. She said he didn't have any touchdowns. Take it fwiw.
Whew…boy we got lucky then! That was a close one! We don’t need losers here! Thanks for sharing sir.

My sister works at Oklahoma State university. She goes to all the games and is a sports enthusiast.. our boy, Hunter, from OSU is hurt a lot. Lost his starting job to injury, but in a year and a half since, hasn't been able to reclaim the same spot. He is a small town Oklahoma kid with a bad streak, though. Don't bet your house he's a Day 1 starter is all I'm saying.

Tuttle is a pretty well to do Oklahoma community. Watched them get throttled in the state championship this year (buddy’s brother coaches there). Sounds like he’s a good kid with some bad luck.
