1: Benhart has played more games than any Husker ever over 6 years and in his final ever play he gave up a strip sack to lose to Cockeye. Amazing.
2: I will be haunted all off season about Neyor's drop. There was a decent chance that he scores on that play. It sums up our season as a whole..... A chance to win dropped.
3: What would our record be if we could just score two touchdowns a game? It doesn't seem like much to ask that a program with Nebraska's resources to find the endzone twice a game. I know DC TW is taking heat because at times the defense looked lost but there was only one conference game where the offense even had a clue. (Wisconsin)
4: Ed Foley had a chance to be an absolute fan favorite with his small town, down home, good ol boy persona. Instead we need to purge him from the program and replace him with a capable football coach. Turns out that glad handing isn't the important part of the job.
5: In the end Dylan showed that he is talented but is a freshman above all. Although a solid foundation has been set, it did come with all of the expected bumps along the way. At least we know he has the resources to pay for whatever guru training he will need in the off season. I was skeptical of him as a recruit. I hated the never ending multi state tour of visits and appearances. But after all that he showed he is a football player. Now to fine tune.
6: @slattimer would need to chime in, but I really like how our goal line run game results in TDs that aren't even close to being stopped. Dowdell regularly walked in or landed 2-3 yards over the line. There weren't many pile ups where the refs had to make a judgement call on the TD. Same goes for 3rd or 4th and short situations as well. That has to be a sign of good line work.
7: Fuck Cockeye and their handshakes. At the same time, you don't need to pray on the 50. Pray in the locker room and drop the performative religious nonsense. Prayer is meant to be a private conversation between you and your lord. Also, fuck everything I saw this weekend involving the 50, flags and brawls. Boo hoo, they didn't shake my hand. Boo hoo, they waved their flag in our faces. Boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo. ITS A FUCKING GAME WHERE YOU LITERALLY HAVE 60 MINUTES TO THROW EACH OTHER ON THE GROUND AND YOUR FEELINGS ARE HURT BY A FLAG? Baseball does the same pussy shit "Oh, he didn't run fast enough around the bases after the home run. I'm going to throw at the next guy." Wanna fight? Join the boxing team, bitch.
6: Why does it take us until the end of the season to realize Emmett Johnson is the best RB in the room? That's two years in a row. If he leaves it's our own fault.
7: I won't be surprised by anyone leaving outside of Dylan. Football has become so stupid because of all this NIL payment shit that we should just be ready for chaos starting Monday. We will also benefit from it because we will be paying for some dudes as well. (Or at least we better be)
