I’m not saying he’s horrible in play calling, but seriously, why can’t we ever get any points in the 2nd half?! It almost cost us this game.

Eventually, he and Foley are going to cost us games and someone will have to ask Rhule what’s going on.

Field position in the game was ass. Hard to open up the playbook from the shadow of your own end zone. I think he was also shepherding a frazzled QB through a growing experience.

Do I agree with how he calls every play within the game? No. Nobody does. But it’s not EA Sports on a PlayStation out there, either.

^This is correct.

In the first half I was actually digging it.

He showed that reverse to Barney that we used a lot last week and then threw the screen to Rhamir that went down to the 8 yard line. That was stellar.

Bonner’s TD was incredibly called.

In the second half what are you going to do when your drive starts on the 2?

Starting field position and the wind played a significant factor in how Satt called the game today.

We’ve now had 3 punts blocked on the year and 2 blocked field goals. Add to that I don’t think we’ve made a kick longer than 31. Special teams is awful and it’s pretty inexcusable now.

I haven’t had too many problems with Satterfield’s play calling this season. Overall, offense has’t been the issue and most of his play calling is fantastic.

Special Teams is another matter entirely. They’re not comparable or worth mentioning in the same discussion.

He apparently is poor at adjustments. The offense has been pretty shitty after halftime. Raiola didn’t help him this game, but Satterfield isn’t worth what he is getting paid. Hopefully Rhule isn’t like the other prior coaches and keeps his buddies around who are dead weight. Foley has to go for sure.

Satt is dead weight? Lol you need to go to bed.

I’ve seen a number of missed TDs in the second half of games this season. A couple big plays where the DB has taken the ball out of the receivers hands. Missed assignments in pass blocking on the final drive of the Illinois game.

What are we talking about here? They scored 21 in the 2nd half last week to win.

Is he worth what he is getting paid? He isn’t a top OC. He is average. His career numbers show it. Time will tell in the end. Either way our biggest issue today is special teams. That facet of the game is totally unacceptable. It will cost us games in the end.

I'm not a big Satt fan really either, but there is a lot of truth in this. I'm not sure what was off with Raiola, but he clearly was off. Combine that with the fact that we started 3 possessions inside our own 5, and that is not a recipe for success.

Satt didn't call a good game, but he also was given shit ingredients to work with in the 2nd half.

Today was the opposite of complimentary football. Winning despite that is a step in the right direction. Sometimes you just need to win...even if it means winning ugly. Look around at college football today - it's hard to win games. We won this week and covered again.

They what happened last week?

WIndy, Raiola not playing well, start in the shadow of our own goalline, have a 14 point lead. Pretty smart to play complimentary football and not take many risks. Do you want to win the game or try and run up the score?

Second half starting field position was (all own) 2, 2, 20, 3, 29 (with a 15 yard penalty to keep it off the 14). DR15 was 2-9 for 14 yards in the second half and that excludes 3 sacks.

Schiano didn't give one damn about getting beaten over the top today. That man knew the wind was going make the vertical game almost obsolete.

He confused the fvck out of Dylan.

As for Satt, he tries to set the opponent up for a lot of shit. The problem is sometimes game flow dictates changes in the defensive calls. And there are other factors related to turnovers or special teams that might impact your ability to get another shot.

Maybe it’s just me but Dylan just looked off after he took that big hit in the third quarter, i wasn’t at the game, was the wind really that bad?

Raiola almost looked resigned to just hand the ball off, his throws were not very zippy after that sack.
