There are a lot of "I support Frost, but..." Posts on RSS right now...

And, what's more, the suggestions frequently involve him abdicating or minimizing responsibilities or traits that were what got him the reputation he had in 2017. Most prominently is giving up playcalling. While I agree that there have been quite a few headscratchers, Frost came to DONU with the reputation for being an elite, innovative playcaller. Saying he needs to give that up and not focus on it so much just seems odd to me. So we're not satisfied with the things he was supposed to be great at, so let's have him stop doing those and fall back on exactly what?

I don't know what to think tbh. All the narratives have been pretty thoroughly debunked at this point.

1. Too young
2. Too inexperienced
3. Bad position coach
4. Bad culture
5. Mike Riley
6. Too much negativity
7. Recruited players don't have the right mindset
8. Players don't take accountability
9. Roster doesn't fit the schemes

The list goes on and on. Pretty tiring.

most of our good players are young, im not at all frustrated with Frost. he has flipped the roster in a good way, his first class sucked. plain & simple. we are very close. and his teams ALWAYS get better

This is too big of a show for Frosty and his staff. I dont like like saying that but there hasnt been any improvements. Coaching has cost us many games against inferior talent. I need to see him put Nebraska Football ahead of his commitment to AMart.

Let me elaborate just a little. I don't think it's too because it's not like he doesn't understand what kind of fish bowl Nebraska is. If anything, the expectations are less now than what they were. And, it's not like he's only a mid major guy. The guy has coached in bigger games in the last 5-6 years, than Nebraska has been in in the last 10-15 years. I just honestly believe he's having an internal battle, in his own mind, of what he really wants to do offensively.
