If you were to get conspiratorial that guy would be Leipold, but a fair amount of outsiders have said that is the guy Nebraska should hire.

If you go after Leipold he's gettin $7 unless he's willing to work for marginally better than his reported contract extension due to Nebraska's built-in advantages over Kansas.

I believe most of the TC & TO didn't want Frost fired. Turd saw his opening and quickly took the shot. Some boosters, whether TC or not, may have helped with some of the extra Buy Out by not waiting an additional 2 weeks. Put yourself in Turd's position. He has seen that Frost is in over his head and things are a mess behind the scenes.

We lose an embarrassing game to Georgia Southern. What happens if he doesn't use this opportunity to fire Frost and for some reason we bounce back to beat our old rival Oklahoma the next game? Then the TC & Press would be all over supporting Frost making it more difficult to fire Frost. let's say somehow Frost gets our team to 6 victories with a win over Oklahoma. We make a Bowl Game resulting in a divided fanbase as some would want Frost Fired and others think he should be kept because he is showing progress. But Turd knows that he needs to replace Frost as he has seen enough to know that Scott will never succeed at a high level at Nebraska the way he is currently running the football team.

Many of my Kansas Boosters and connections think we should hire Kleiman over Leipold as they think he is a far better coach than Leipold. They like Leipold but have huge concerns about his subpar recruiting plus he has made quite a few head scratching coaching decisions during games and with clock management. They like Leipold for KU but think we can do much better with our financial resources.

reading between the lines if we are making an announcement this weekend or monday it will be Rhule. If we aren't announcing it most likely means that terms weren't able to be worked out due to Carolina having concerns over incentive clauses in the contract & FMV. Rhule isn't going to leave $40 million in question. If we can't work it out I expect Turd to be pressured to go with discount Plan B coaches that TO & the TC are really pushing for.

Supposedly someone here said the booster have made the difference up for Matt Rhule to become the HC, how true is that IDK.

I should add another poster said the AD reserved the Champions Club for Sunday and Monday, you wouldn’t do that unless your wrapping up a deal with Matt Rhule IMO.
