He's a freshman. We need to quit looking to freshman to fix our trash OL and start going out and getting grown menThat's Luto at RG, right? Fucking garbage
It's a green dog. Have to get the ball out. Green dog is essentially, if your man in pass coverage stays in protection, you add a hat to the blitz. A way of getting a +1 in pressure no matter how many guys are out in route vs protection.Asking the question as an absolute idiot. How do you pick up the delayed/late blitzer in the last clip? I notice we have 3 lineman "blocking" 2 guys so we have the numbers to do, but unsure schematically

Protection was half-slide. Back side is the man side, opposite is the zone side.
Yeah, him Anthony are fucking awful. That's Luto at RG, right? Fucking garbage
I’ve honestly thought about this for next season. If the next HC would be willing to bring in an OC or Co-OC/Run Game Coordinator that has OL coaching experience (see: Bill Bedenbaugh at OU, Robert Anae at Syracuse) and then ALSO hire a dedicated OL coach, preferably the best one money can buy.Needed to hire 2 OL corches after last season.. we got zero
I feel like most of us thought Donny was the worst of the new hires by far. A guy with no college OL coaching experienced taking over a trash unit in need of a rebuild seemed like more than he could handle. He might be a good coach in time, but he walked into a dumpster fire. Next coach needs to invest substantially with a coach who has a proven track record of OL development.maybe next time don't hire an OL corch with no experience in hopes of signing his nephew
Ahem. He had his own shop at Aurora University which is a top 100 football program in ChicgaolandI feel like most of us thought Donny was the worst of the new hires by far.
