I wonder if some of the leftover is being used for his Support Staff. He definitely has brought in some heavy hitters behind the scenes. I remember Moos said Frost basically had an open checkbook to hire analysts and asst coaches. Never knew what was paid behind the scenes for Analysts and Support Staffs.

I think so - he has, I am sure, added some unbudgeted positions. The salaries will likely land just short of 6M, so he could have freed up $1.1M of budget to create some of the new jobs

Raiola being overpaid bigly

Interesting details from Zach Carpenter:

Raiola is the only guy with a one year deal. All other ACs are two years, OCs are 3

Rhule's assistant coach salary pool for his 10 on-field assistant coaches is $7 million. The total figure for the seven assistants whose contracts were released is $4,630,000. That leaves $2,370,000 available to pay McGuire, Wager and Dvoracek. Those three are very unlikely to make a combined $2.37 million, so that would allow plenty of room in the salary pool for Rhule to use the money to build out his support staff.

Campbell's contract does not count toward the $7 million allotted to the assistant coach salary pool because he is not one of the 10 on-field assistants.
