Disclaimer - I am retarded

Now that this season has spun out, allow some potential positive final 4 game food for thought

One could reasonably argue the best coaching job Rhule has done here were the 7 games HH was forced into action in 2023.

During this stretch, we were forced to go away from what we wanted to do (throw it every play) and into a downhill power run scheme. We went 5-2, including the only 2 outright wins Rhule has had here as an underdog (one road (@ILL) one home (vs PUR)).

Now, I don’t think anyone would argue TJ is less talented than HH.

If we go back to some of the power football principals Rhule garnered from TO during that time, think we could get a couple down the stretch. TJ running option pass? EJ downhill 30x/game? Playing keep away from opposing offenses?

Granted, that’s a big “if”, but nonetheless, I am interested to see what the staff cooks up (if anything) in an attempt to salvage the season.

Think you could definitely see more RPO. Not sure if Lateef is worth a shit doing it but could help a little with the oline deficiencies.

I'm also retarded so would be interested to hear from some real ball knowers how we could get some advantage from a QB with some mobility.
What did he run in HS?

Whatever it is, that’s what we should expect to see more of this weekend at least

I dont know if you need to go that far necessarily. They recruited him so they have some idea of what they want the offense to be with him at QB. I assume its a little different than what it is under Raiola but I don't think it should be much different.

Long weekend, maybe I'm retarded, but did you really just post this!?

Again, long weekend, maybe I'm retarded...
I somehow glossed over that part. Maybe assumed it was a typo giving him the benefit of the doubt that he isn't just a troll.

“Now, I don’t think anyone would argue TJ is less talented than HH.”

I think almost everyone on the board would argue against this

I feel like the "at QB" is implied here. Do you all really think HH is a more talented QB than Lateef?

Feel like I am taking crazy pills

Maybe all of our reading comprehension is shot, I read it as he is saying HH is the better QB. I’m a numbers guy by trade and training though so maybe I’m just reading wrong

To clear this up, I believe Kong is arguing that TJ is a better QB than HH, which seems correct to me based on raw talent (scary that I’m agreeing with Kong here).
Not really arguing that, it’s plain as day fact

Laying out a case for Rhule to maybe tap into that particular 2023 7 game stretch where he coached his best games at NU with a more physically capable (in the passing game at least) QB

I completely agree. Challenging men do challenging things in challenging situations. Now I don't pretend to know the psychology of the locker room but I know our boys will be, mentally, challenged these last three weeks, and we should follow suite.
