Same here. I also think it’s dumb that the government is pushing heat pumps for heating because they are basically useless under 35 degrees and would have to rely on gas or supplemental electric heat to stay warm.

We had a geothermal HVAC unit at our acreage. Expensive AF to have installed (mostly the cost of having the vertical well loops drilled), but man the savings that came after were glorious.

That's kind of silly though as they don't rely on anything else above 35 which is the majority of the winter for at least half the country.
