September Recruiting Thread

Given the number and profile of the visitors for next weekend's game, the best thing we can do to jumpstart 'crooting in September is to slaughter some Buffalo. These boys - probably from the 308 - are here to remind us how it's done. LFG!

Four-star LB Christian Jones talks latest Nebraska visit and will return again for Colorado game​

Nebraska opened up the season in dominant fashion with a win over UTEP. The Huskers put on a show in front of the state’s No. 1 prospect in On3 Industry four-star linebacker Christian Jones.

The 6-foot-2 1/2, 215-pound Jones has been to Lincoln several times and likes where Rhule and company are taking the program in their second year.

“It was good to see everyone again,” Jones said. “Talk to coaches and some of the players and see them play.

“They seem to have a lot of good energy around them right now. The coaching staff and the players and I haven’t seen that a lot in the past couple years going down there.”


Nebraska is battling Oklahoma and Miami to ultimately sign Jones.

“They want the best players in the state to come play for Nebraska,” Jones said. “That’s the big message. Come build this program culture.”

Jones will be back this coming weekend for the game against Colorado. He also aims to get back to Norman and check out a Sooners game too.

The On3 Industry tabs Jones as the nation’s No. 23 linebacker and No. 213 prospect overall. The Huskers currently have 18 commits in the 2025 class.
