Sellout Streak

Is this the year it ends? Tickets have been open to the public for a week now and there are still a boat load of tickets available all over the stadium. It’s going to take a significant effort to get these all sold the way it’s going so far.

Didn’t they fix the problem by entering agreements with ticket resellers in which the resellers buy at a certain point (I assume at a discount)?

I’ve seen it mentioned, but I haven’t seen any details. Curios how many tickets they’ve agreed to buy.

Don't worry, one of our large boosters will buy them up instead of sending that money to baseball, or another sport, to actually make a fucking difference.

Maybe, but not until November if it happens.

1. Season opener will sell out.
2. Next two games are night games. They will both sell out because people like night games, even vs. shitty teams.
3. Next home game is the Big Ten opener. Huskers will be 4-0. that will sell out. Likely 2:30 or night game vs. Maryland.

4. Next game will be 5-0 Nebraska vs. 5-0 Indiana. That one will actually be a tough ticket and either a Fox Big Noon or NBC saturday night.

5. Next game vs. Washington will be homecoming. Likely a sell out even after 2 straight losses.

6. Ohio State will sell out, because its Ohio State.

If you want to say they won't sell out before the season, I think that's probably fair. But that streak won't end this season.

Because it’s fake and a stupid thing we hold onto to be relevant. Let it end and stop holding on to the 90s
To be fair it started in the 60's.

I get the impression that the program is starting to move on from the 90's - and they should.

But as another poster said I never understood cheering against it. If the tickets are sold, they're sold.

Is that a bigger facade than Michigan or A&M claiming dozens of national titles?

I’m fully aware of when it started. It’s on half of the tunnel walks.

I don’t believe people are rooting against it. I think people are ready for a new identity. Ready to try something different. We’ve had 3 winning records in the last 11 years and two of them are 7-6.

Michigan and A&M are just as dumb but for the most part they are still relevant. We are a laughing stock. Holding on to something that doesn’t really have anything to do with what’s on the field. If anything we are all just dumb enough to go watch poorly coached football in person.

Im going to guess ppl have gotten tired of the product failing to live up to the sales pitch.

The loyalty gave em the benefit of the doubt for a long time & now we got Rhule’s big talk failing to deliver

Please explain how it's ended. This is posted all the time.

Sellout = University of Nebraska sells all tickets regardless of who buys them
Sellout /= 100% capacity

Every year, every ticket is sold. Some away team allotments are returned for resell through the University.
It's so annoying
"Ok yeah we sold all the tickets but if I completely change the definition of a sellout then the sellout already ended"
