For those of you too young to remember the Bill Russell years, he was one of the most dominating players I've ever seen. I was a huge Wilt Chamberlain fan and therefore hated the Celtics by default. But the battles between those two were legendary.

How good were the Bill Russell Celtics? Imagine being so good John Havlicek was their 6th man and didn't start. Those teams had Hall of Famers Tommy Heinson, K.C. Jones, John Havlicek, Sam Jones, Frank Ramsey, legendary coach Red Auerbach, and of course Bill Russell.

Had the prIvilege (luck) to watch the Celtics in the 60s on a very primitive tv. Sam Jones, KC Jones, Bill Russell, Havlicek, etc.

Just something magical about teams that played D on one end of the court and knew how to pass on the other end of the court.
